PLAYING CUPID WITH THE DEVIL

CHAPTER ONE

(ASHLEY PAPPY’S POV)

It’s a new semester, here at Moore high school, I can wait to get to school and back to civilization, I had to spend my holiday with my grandmother, I love her to the moon and back but hell, I couldn’t take it anymore. I missed my friends and my best friend, Alexandra Parker. He’s everything, we’re not together together but for four years now, we've been sex buddies and I absolutely adore every part of our relationship.

For the whole month I spent with Grandmother Deborah, it wasn’t that awful, I got to catch up on my writings, drawings and readings, I love everything about literature, no one real knows this except Alex and my parents, I am a cliché freak and a little cupid, Alex calls me cupid assistant. I got most of my friends together and they are all happy and in love.

“Mom I’m leaving, I’d get breakfast at Alex’s house” I screamed as I walked out of the house, I drove straight to Alex’s, I definitely missed him so much.

I check and hair before getting down, I took the back door as usual and walked into Alex’s room, I shook my head as I saw my hot shot best friend lying down on his belly, he was sleeping so quietly, I smiled and got under the sheets and moved closer to him, that woke him up, he opened his beautiful bright eyes and i blushed, even though we’ve been fucking for four years and I’ve known him since I was a baby, Alex Parker made me feel like a horny teenage girl.

“you’re here” he said then pulled me closer, I breathed in and kissed his shoulders, he smelled nice, even though I’m positive he hasn’t taken his bath.

“get away from me, you reek” I teased him, playfully pushing him away.

“I reek? Oh you didn’t just say that babe.” He smirked, pulling me back into him, he was lying on top of him now, I definitely was enjoying this position, I bit my lips and wrapped my hands around his neck.

“Never leave me again, Pappy” he whispered before giving me a kiss, I didn’t protest or had time to reply, I let the kiss do the honors of answering him, he did in fact miss me and that’s all that matters to me.

The ride to school was exciting, I couldn’t wait to see all my friends, and as the school head cheerleader, it’s definitely going to be a good semester, so many competitions for the football team and for the cheerleaders, also as the school student council’s president and leader of the voluntary trouble teenager helpers, I have a lot to do and a reputation to keep, and also as some of my non-friends call me “THE SCHOOL’S BITCH”  I’m not really complaining, I can be very mean at times and really blunt and very rude but if I don’t do it, who will?

“if it isn’t Dumb and Dumber” Sarah, my friend said as she pointed at Lexi Anne and Ginger George aka L.A and G.G, I was always amused by their style, they were well, you could call it original. Then I spotted a blonde girl beside G.G, I’ve never seen her around, she had a nice body, she didn’t look like a nerd but she was putting on glasses, you could spot her perfect winged eyeliner and the flawless natural look she had, she was beautiful, I’d have to admit that.

“Who’s that beside Ginger, Ash?” Emmanuel asked

“I don’t know, I think she’s new. I have to get to my mini office and get the new student information from the principal or counsellor, do you like her, E?” I wiggled my brows which made Emmanuel blush a little, he shook his head and walked to his locker.

“Leave E. alone, Pappy” Alex said, hitting my butt before walking over to his locker, I shook my head and placed my books in my locker before heading to the principal’s office.

“Miss Pappy, it’s so nice you’re here, I was about to ring you” Principal Rash said.

“It’s nice to be here, I came to collect the list of all the new students and transferred students” I informed her.

“Ask my secretary for that, she was typing it this morning, meet Miss Jules Gome.. Miss Gome meet Miss Ashley Pappy. She’s the student body president and head cheerleader. If you have any problem at all, feel free to meet her, Miss Pappy, Jules is in your care, this is her first time in America” Principal Rash smiled, I looked at Jules, she smiled at me, I guess she’s the shy type, well she’d fit well amongst.

“Let’s get your time table Jules and I’d show you to your first class” I returned her smile, I said my good byes to the principal, got my list from the secretary and Jules’ time table, she had Advanced Physics just like Alex and I, so we both walked quietly to class, she didn’t say a word to me and I wasn’t really up for any conversation, It was already a busy day and I didn’t have time for small talks, I’d try to get to know her later.

Physics class was a fucking bore, I wasn’t the smartest student but I was one of the top five best in the whole school, classes went by really fast and it was time for lunch, then tryouts for new Moore cheerleaders also known as M.GIRLS.

“Jules, come sit over here” I waved at her as I watched her trying to figure out where to sit, being a transferred student and British, she’d be a new topic for my group of friends and I could so match make her with someone, her perfect match.

“I’m sorry Ashley, I’m sitting with Ginger and Lexi, maybe another time?” she said, her accent was pretty strong, if I was a horny teenage guy I would have come right now, I smiled and went back to my food.

“Trouble, how was your holiday?” Sean Grey asked, I turned around, completely irritated and angry, I hate SEAN GREY, and he has been my archenemy since forever.

“What do you want, Grey?” Alex answered, putting his arms around my waist, I leaned in, because Sean always brought out the worst in me.

“I didn’t know your name was Trouble, Lexi boy and really Grey? How unoriginal, you could do better Trouble” he smirked

“And please what would better be?” I asked as far as I’m concerned Alex was perfection. He was the right guy the girl like me always ended up with, we are best friends, fuck buddies and soon he'd love me like i love him  and well our future has also been planned out already by me.

“You and I both know the answer to that” he winked before leaving, I had goose bumps all over.

I’m sure you are all wondering who is Sean Grey. Well let me enlighten you, Sean is my daylight nightmare, he finds fun and pleasure in annoying me ever since we were kids, I should be used to this but he is very original and never does a trick twice, he always has something planned, I remember him sneaking into my car naked a day before the holidays, I don’t know what he was trying to prove but he made me drive him home and well it was awkward as hell, but he found a way to make it sexually awkward and it was the worst day of my life.

Sean Grey is the Devil’s incarnation, he is the Devil of Moore High School.

“I have a way to get Sean off my backs for good, Alex” I told him, I loved the new idea in my head and if my logics were right, then I would no longer have to deal with Sean Grey ever again.

“And what is that cute brain of yours up to now?” Alex was worried, I kissed him on his lips and smiled, I love it when he’s worried.

“Don’t worry Lexi boy, it’s just a new cupid work” I smiled before heading to the gym for cheer tryouts.
