So I decided on un-publishing the other stories I had cause I wasn't feeling them. But I feel like these two new ones are going to be better and I'm in love with the characters.

Hailey's Pov

----

"Hailey you're gonna be late, hurry up!" I heard my dad yell from down stairs.

I woke up late this morning and was rushing to get ready. So far, this day wasn't going so good.

After 5 minutes of getting knots out of my hair, sloppily putting make-up on, and dressing like I didn't care, I finally left.

It's a good thing school was only a few blocks away from home. Other wise I would've been late and that's not something I like to be.

I parked my car, rushed inside, and made it to my first period by a millisecond before the last bell rang.

"Hail's you barley made it! What happened to you?" My best friend Annie asked, her bright long red hair swaying as she walked towards me.

"I woke up late, kinda had a crazy night yesterday."

"Ladies, if you please."

"Sorry Mr. Gonzalez." We both made our way to our seats and smiled at one another.

"Thank you. As you all know as seniors you will be taking apart in a year long project. Today we will be assigning partners and no you may not choose. We'll begin in 5 minutes."

Chatter broke out after that, everyone in the class talked about who they thought they were going to get paired with.

"Soo who do you think you'll get paired with?" Annie asked, excitement and curiosity in her voice.

"I'm not sure, I don't really care as long as they do their part of the project right."

"Of course, I wanna get paired with Eddie."

Just as she said his name he turned to her and smiled, she smiled back.

Ugh, just what I needed. I didn't wanna be in the middle of them flirting with one another.

"Alright alright, settle down class" everyone stopped talking and watched as Mr. Gonzalez walked back and forth in front of the class.

"Now as you know I have nothing to do with the choosing. It's all computerized, so if you don't like your partner; you can take it up to the district and make them deal with it."

It was dead silent in the class, everyone was holding their breath and waiting to hear who their partner was going to be.

"Elizabeth Cortez and Emmet Roads, Mark Collins and Dahlia McCoy..." He went on for a few minutes before Annie's name was called.

Of course mine was last to be called.

"Annie Butler and Eddie Owens, and the last pair is Carter Stone and Hailey Lynn."

"Carter who?" Annie and I looked at each other, confusion spread on our faces.

"He's a new kid, well sort of. He's coming back to this school after he left sophomore year."

"Why'd he leave?" I asked, wanting to know a little more about my partner since no one really knew who he was.

"No one knows, but he'll be here later today. Alright the rest of you, get with your partner and start getting to know them. Hailey why don't you just sit with Annie and Eddie."
