Daine's P.O.V

After I dropped off dante, I got a weird feeling, like something wasn't right and that I shouldn't have left him alone. I tried to ignore it, but the further away from his house I got, the stronger it was. Pulling into my driveway, I parked my bike, not caring that it wasnt in the garage, ill just b be leaving later anyways. I walk into the house, knowing my sister isnt gonna be happy I left her at school.

I head upstairs making a beeline for my room, knowing if my sister hears me, ill get a lecture that nobody wants. That girl can rant for hours about the stupidest shit, its like she has no off switch. I quickly shut my door, and lay down on my bed, taking out my phone I decide to text dante, just to makensure hes ok

Hey, are you ok? I got a weird feeling after I dropped you off earlier

I read it over and press send, hoping that hes alright. I only just met the guy but I already feel so protective of him, its weird but it feels right. Its really peculiar that I haven't seen him around school before, he seems like a pretty popular guy, with his short blonde hair, his green eyes that I could just get lost in for hours, hes well built but not overly muscular. Just seems like hes got something everybody wants.

My phone vibrates, jarring me from my thoughts about dante.

No, im not ok, can you come over please?

I quickly text back a response.

jumping out of bed I practically run out of my room and down the stairs trying to get to dante as soon as possible, the rational part of me wanting to console him, but the reaper part of me wants to find whoever made him feel bad and rip their throat out. I run out my front door, and jump on my bike, starting it, I turn around and tear out of my driveway, its only a five minute ride, but it feels like literally forever

Pulling into dantes' driveway, I get off my bike, and run into his house, the front door was already open, so I didn't bother to knock,

"Dante!" I yell

I hear somone sniffling and crying down the hall, I follow the sound until I see a disheveled dante in a ball on the ground sobbing.

"Dante, whats wrong what happened?" I ask as I sat down next to him

He just shakes his head, and wraps his arms around me and cries into my chest, I rub his back, trying to make him feel better.

"Hey, its o.k, i'm here now, nobodys' gonna hurt you anymore I promise." I whisper into his ear

He just nods his head and continues to cry. I pick him up, and carry him over to his bed, I set him down and climb in next to him, he clings to me again and I throw the blankets over the both of us.

"Ill stay with you as long as you need me too okay? I promise ill never let anyone hurt you ever again" I whisper into his ear as we both start to fall asleep.
