Song is Snake Charmer by Blink 182. I have no idea why but it seemed to fit Venus for me so just go with it lol.

I found her in her usual place, dressed as she usually was in these dreams. She sat at the small glass topped table, her back to me as she lifted a teacup delicately to her lips. The dress she wore was straight out of Alice in Wonderland, the only difference being it was much shorter than dear Alice’s. Everything right down to the sky blue fabric and white apron tied securely around her waist.

I took a single step in her direction, and she turned in her chair to face me. Face half covered by bangs as dark as my own hair, all I could see of my sister’s face was a grin that could put the Cheshire cat’s to shame. Slowly I walked around the table to the chair across from Dahlia, sitting even more slowly as she turned back to face me. Her grin never faltered as she pushed a tray of cookies towards me.

“Sweets for my sweet.” She said, her melodic voice coming out distorted as she used her pet name for me. Tilting her head unnecessarily slow, that grin of hers seemed to grow even wider to the point of consuming the entire bottom half of her face. “You’ll need the energy my sweet sister. Things are going to get a bit hectic soon.”

I looked down at the tray of cookies finding them all to be broken halves of hearts. No two pieces seemed to go to another, and they were all frosted in a different color. I looked back up at Dahlia without taking a single one, my brow furrowing as I said, “What do you mean? What’s going to happen?”

“I can’t tell you that, my sweet. You’ll have to figure it all out on your own. Which you will…all in due time. You cannot rush or you’ll pass right by what you’re meant to find.”

“If you know then why can’t you just tell me?!” I yelled, slamming my hands down on the table hard enough to make the cookie tray jump. I tried to look through Dahlia’s bangs, if only to search out her eyes. I knew that if I could only see her eyes I could at least find some hint of what she was talking about. “You always do this…You never tell me what you mean about anything you say. It’s all just cryptic bullshit and answers to questions I don’t even know to ask. Just tell me what’s going to happen so I can handle it before it starts!”

She clicked her tongue and shook a finger at me, either for my outburst or for my language I didn’t know. And I was pretty sure she would never actually tell me. As she began rearranging the cookies, that horrible grin still painted on her face, she said, “You have to wake up now, my sweet. You won’t know today, and you won’t know tomorrow but you’ll know soon…” Her form slowly began to fade along with her words, that familiar fog rolling in to take her away.

“Wait! Just give me some kind of hint, Dahlia. PLEASE.” I said as I reached out to her, trying to keep her there if only for one second longer. My hand passed right through my sister’s shoulder as the last of her twisted grin began to fade with the rest. And after one quick blink, she was gone…
