Monday morning, I woke up and looked around. It's unusually quiet in the house. I glance at my alarm clock that I obviously hadn't woken up too. It was 7:45 and I had to arrive to school by 8:00!! I jumped out of bed and sprinted to the bathroom, peeling my clothes off almost instantly. I turned the shower on and hopped in, quickly washing my body.
I wrapped my towel around me and attempted to brush the knots out of my tangled hair. I blow dryed my hair and walked to my dresser. I picked out a red t-shirt and a pair of ripped blue jeans, along with a pair of tennis shoes. I quickly pulled them on and grabbed my backpack, rushing out the door. I passed several houses with barking dogs in the bark yard. That didn't help the migraine I already had.
I finally arrived at the front entrance of the school, only being 10 minutes late. This was not going to be a good first impression on my teachers. I got to the main office and asked for my schedule. The lady at the front desk kept giving me dirty looks and I just stared at her with a blank expression. She dug through a huge pile of yellow papers and slipped one out from beneath all the others. She shoved it at me and waved me off. I mumbled thank you but I wasn't really sure that she heard me.
I wandered around the school hallways, not knowing where any of the eleventh grade classes are. After five minutes of looking around the gigantic school I finally found Mrs. Dawn's room. I opened the classroom door slowly and peeked inside. With my luck, the door creaked, causing Mrs. Dawn to look over at me. She was explaining the school rules and stopped her lecture to look at me.
"Sorry I'm late..." I studdered. I made my way to an empty desk in the very back of the room. It wasn't until now that I noticed all eyes were on me. I could feel the eyes burning into my face. I quickly looked down and shut my eyes tight. I finally looked up and everyone had turned around to look at Mrs. Dawn. Except one person. A pair of icy blue eyes were staring at me. We kind of stared at each other until he broke the silence.
"Hey, I'm Tyler. What's yours?" He said.
"What's my what?" I asked, obviously zoned out.
"Your name!" He chuckled a little and I blushed.
"Oh um... Paige. My names Paige." I studdered. He turned back around to look at Mrs. Dawn again and I did the same. I was speechless. This boy was HOT. His eyes were perfect, his hair was perfect, and his face... His face was gorgeous! All throughout class his name and looks were running through my mind until Mrs. Dawn got on to me for "Daydreaming". She went back to writing on the board and I looked down at my desk.
I snapped back into the real world when I felt a tap on my shoulder. Tyler was looking down at me, looking a bit concerned.
"Are you okay??" He said putting his hand on my shoulder.
"Yeah... I'm fine. I just zoned out." I frowned when he took his bear paw of a hand off of my shoulder. It felt so bare now. So cold.
"Let me see your schedule. Maybe we have some more classes together." He smiled hopefully and held his hand out. I handed over the yellow peice of paper and his eyes skimmed through it for a minute and he handed it back.
"3 more classes together!" He had a goofy smile on his face, which made me smile and a small blush was creeping onto my face too.
"We better get goin before we're late for geometry." He gathered his books and stacked them up on top of each other.
I grabbed my books and we walked to our next classes together. We talked and talked and I felt like I could tell him anything. Which is weird because i literly met him an hour ago. How could such a cute guy be talking to me?? He was gorgeous and I was just... Me.
