Hayley's POV:
I slid down the wall.
"Why?" I whispered.
"Hayley, I" Cody's voice spoke.
"No, just don't"
"Hear me out"
"Why?"
"I thought you'd move with your brother"
"But even if I was, this is wrong!"
I stood and ran as fast as I could until I could no longer run. I pulled out my phone and dialled Daniel.
"Hey kiddo, what's up?" Daniel's chipper voice answered.
"D-Danny" I chocked.
"What happened? Are you okay? Where are you?"
"Just, meet me at my school"
"See you there"
I hung up. I started to walk instead of run.
"Hayley" Cody called. I didn't stop. Instead, I sped up.
"Hayley please"
I kept walking. My feet weren't stopped, and I didn't want them to. He grabbed my hand and I shook him off, surprising myself at how I was stronger than him.
"Look, you don't have to talk, just listen"
I didn't want to listen. I ran. It was the only way I could get away. But he began running after me, and he was faster. He caught up and pushed me against a wall. I turned my head away. I didn't wanna look at his face.
"I was drunk" he spoke. I bit my lips together so I wouldn't speak.
"I was upset because I thought you were leaving, so I got drunk and my dunk asshole self made out with another girl and I don't remember anything, and I wouldn't have at all is I was-"
"That's no excuse" I interrupted. He stared at me.
"I'm going, theres nothing you can do" I pushed him off and walked away.

I curled up under my blanket. I hadn't even said if I was leaving or not, and he did this. I sobbed into my pillow. There was a light knock on my door.
"Yeah?" I called.
"You alright kiddo?" Daniel asked.
"He cheated Danny" I sobbed.
"He's dead"
