"Here, on the twenty-seventh day, of the 6th month, stand 15 new Townsfolk selected to participate in this years annual Village Chamber. This years ' Village Chamber theme is 'All Any'. Any role shall be given, and it is up to the Masters to decide whether the Townies or the Killing classes will have the upper hand," Crio Lambade explained as we Townsfolk filled out into the Chamber. People where lined directly above us on balconies, chatting quiet amongst themselves about today. The beginning of the Village Chamber.

Now, this may seem like a fun walk-in-the-park type of deal. But it is not. We have no choice in the drawings; you get your name picked, you must go into the Chamber.  Once you're in the Chamber, there is no coming out unless you win with your class. The game usually lasted maybe ten days tops.
I looked around me, at the Townsfolk and the interior design of the Chamber. Besides myself, there were fourteen other people, most looking nervous while others were bursting with confidence. Behind each and every one of us were paths and at the end of these paths were houses. Fifteen perfect little houses for each of us. But we weren't fooled. At least, I wasn't. Soon the floors of at least four of these houses would be covered in blood.

I let my gaze drift towards the center of the Chamber; where the deathly Gallow stood. I shivered as I thought of the series of events that would lead one to be standing there pleading their case.

"As you can see, in the center of the Chamber, you can see the Gallow. Now, obviously, most of you should know what happens there. And how you get there," He paused for a moment and looked at the crowd, then looked at us Townsfolk.

"But for new viewers and/or players, I'll explain it for you. Each person here will be given a role the Masters have chosen for them. The roles range from Town roles such as Investigator, Jailer, Veteran, Lookout etc. to Neutral roles like Jester, Executioner, Vampire etc. to Killing roles. Killing roles include Serial Killer, Werewolf, Arsonist and last but not least the Mafia. It is not set in stone whether all of these killing roles will be in this years game; but for sure at least two killing roles will be in this game."
I took a deep breath, and nodded slowly.

"Without any further ado, here we start the 23rd annual Village Chamber!" Crio announced.
"Townsfolk; please go into your houses and look at the scrolls on your table. It will show your role. If there is Mafia, there will be a list of whom is in the Mafia with you. Please proceed, you have 5 minutes," Crio started a timer, and we all dispersed into our houses.

I walked up the short path and slowly opened the door. The interior was plain and boring; clearly meant for living in the house for, let's say a week, tops. I walked over to the table in the center of the room and picked up the scroll. I breathed in, and out slowly as unrolled the scroll. Whatever was in here meant life or death for me. At the top it stated:

"Celia Adams.

Townsfolk #10
Class: Town
Role: Lookout
Abilities: Watch one person at night to see who visits them.
Attributes: cannot be detected by whom you are watching.
"

I nodded slowly. I was on the Towns' side, or as Crio calls it, the Townies.
I was able to watch one person at night and see who visits them. I put down the scroll and looked at the parchment paper and pen that was left there. Clearly that is for my Will, where I should put my reports and whom I suspect.

Turning around, I headed towards the door to go back outside. As I got outside, several of the Townsfolk had gathered. And by gathered, I meant had gone back to there original places on the end of their path; we were not allowed to leave the path unless it was night time and our roles allowed us to do so.
"I see everyone has arrived, just in the nick of time too. Remember; time is of the essence. You will have 40 seconds of discussion time, 20 seconds for voting time, 5 minutes for night time and 15 seconds for your defense plea. Once the timer is done, no further talking, voting or whispering shall be done. Also, when the dead's will is being read out, there is no talking. Listen to the Wills and Deathnotes, they are highly important. The first day begins! 15 second discussion for today because it is the first day. Good luck to you all!" Crio disappeared by going into a secret stairwell made purely for his use.
Now the Village Chambers have started. Everyone looked at one another and started speaking in a mannerly fashion.
I spoke up first.
"Good luck to everyone." I said brusquely.
There were murmurs of agreement, some seemed more nervous of others.
The timer went off, and as one we all turned and headed towards our homes. The artificial sky turned dark to represent the night
