Chapter 9- Past is a Memory

"hurry up Gelo" mom said.

I don't no what's happening but while kuya Manor is driving us home i can see in the eyes of my mom that she's about to cry. As we arrived home mom said that i'll head straight to my room, since we already had dinner i need to go to sleep.

As i entered my room I heard someones car parked to our vicinity. I hurriedly went down and checked if it was dad. i was not wrong. i ran to him and gave him a hug.

"dad..... where were you?" i hug him.

" you weren't in my graduation" i added.

"Get away from that man Gelo. He is a sinner"Mom pulled me away from dad. 

"But mom it's dad." i said, i don't understand why mom is pushing dad away and she looked messed up from crying.

"He is not your dad anymore" mom said furiously, i can feel her anger bursting out and i can't take my mom feeling sad.

"Angela let me explain" dad said to mom.

"There's nothing to explain John, i heard enough. Now! get out. Get out of our life!." mom exclaimed, Why is she forcing dad to leave, i have bare information from what's happening.

"But mom....... dad......." i cried out, i can't help myself not to cry. I can't take that dad is leaving us.

Dad left us. Still not knowing what's happening. I have no father anymore.

"Son, Gelo listen to me. I'm telling you this, even though your very young you still have the right to know the truth" Mom said seriously.

"What mom? spit it out, what's happening i don't understand" i said anxiously, Age doesn't matter for me to know the truth, they're my family they owe me the truth.

" i'm telling you this for you to understand Gelo, i know you're a strong man." mom said.

"your father has another family, another wife another son." mom added.

" why are you pushing her away mom, i know he love me mom. i know he'll pick us over his mistress" i said while crying, I know to myself that dad loves us.

"he already made a choice son." mom said.

"no mom. dad loves us mom, dad loves me! it's unfair mom." i cried and cried and cried.At some point you have to realize that some people can stay in your heart, but not in your life.

7:00 pm

"Shit! " I exclaimed. Twas a nightmare from my past! I checked my phone, i'm seeing lots of messages then i look the time it's already 7:00 pm. i was about to get up from my bed when Manang Linda called me.

"Sirrrrr. May bisita po kayo, kaklase niyo daw po." Manang Linda said while knocking at my door.

"Okay manang. I'll just fix myself, just tell the visitor to wait, thank you.." i hurried to my closet change some clothes then went down.

"Sino kaya bibisita sa akin, malamang and dalawa lang siguro na iyon, si Prince at si Andrew" i tried guessing.

"O hindi kaya si Anne, baka na miss niya ako" i added.

"Manang Linda asan po ang bisita?" tanong ko kay Manang Linda.

"Ah sir. nasa sala po." Manang Linda replied.

 I head to the living room, i was disappointed with what i expected. I'm seeing a dugyot, dagdag badtrip nga naman oh.

"What are you doing here?" i asked.

"ahh eehhh...." he replied.. . . .

"what?" i confusingly asked.

"May nakalimutan pala akong ibigay sayo." he offered something.
