Who can't say this isn't a theory why Pitch is so evil and dark? I'm guessing the girl was he's daughter. Or he's sister. Or maybe his sweetheart!
So many possibilities! Why do you think that girl can or can't be related to how's Pitch Black in the movie?
I'm guessing that Pitch Black was choosing to be a guardian like Jack, by saving her or protecting her! Until the day that she couldn't see him! When she did see him (probably when she's older), she gets scared of him and tries to get away from him. She tries so much that she gets away from his sight. This gets him angry and scares even more people and becomes the boogie man! Nice theory, huh? Nope. Maybe? Never mind.
