Modern Era
In a town, there once lived a girl. She was a very mysterious girl. She never talked. All she did was read. She had read any book you could imagine. But one day, she stopped reading. She found herself unable to look at a book, much less read one.
Everyday, she went to school, wondering why she could no longer touch a single book. I'll get over it, She thought.
Eventually, she did. Because she was no longer interested in books, she started slacking in school work. She was slowly getting worried, her parents were also.
"You haven't touched a book in a month, much less did any homework."
All of a sudden, she felt something. She thought it was the urge to touch books again. She ran over to her bookshelf, looking at the titles. She found herself not wanting to read a book.
The next morning, her parents gave her a cell phone, despite her grades. She used it like she'd owned it all her life. She slowly drifted away from her family and schoolwork. She became more popular and dislikable.
She changed herself, bleaching her dark brown hair blonde and concealing her brown eyes with blue contacts. She shortened her clothes, wearing crop tops and short skirts to accommodate the California weather.
She did it all for the boy she liked. Unfortunately, it was Her bestfriend's boyfriend, but that would have to change.
As she went to school, she slowly inched closer to her crush. She finally kissed him, with her bestfriend right there. The boy quickly ran after his girlfriend, regretting her actions.
As the week progressed on, rumors were constantly spread on. She slowly sunk down to the girl She thought she knew. That's how the girl slowly lost her popularity.
That's how I slowly lost my popularity.
