In this lesson you will learn the 5 Tense (or Double) consonants. All of them are related to consonants you already know from the first lesson on consonants which are called Plain Consonants.

Learning to distinguish between the Plain, Tense and Aspirated versions of the consonants is very difficult for non-native speakers so don't get frustrated if it you can't tell the difference right-away.

Tense Consonants

The Hangul for Tense (or Double) consonants are easy to recognize visually, they are the Plain Hangul written twice.
