School of fandoms

Prologue

I gave my letter to my mom, who looked at it, read it, and turned it around.
Then she gave it to my dad, who looked at it, as if it was the most precious thing he had ever seen.
Then he gave it to my sister, who didn't even bother to look at it, jealous as she was.
Then she threw it back at me, receiving a few glares from my mom and dad.

Then we sat in silent for a few minutes.

'So...The fandom school huh?' My dad spoke up.
'Uhm, yeah. I thought, maybe I could try to get in, you know, it's a good school.' I silently said.
'Well, honey... If you really want to.' My mom said.
I looked at her, with hope in my eyes. 
If I could go there.. And graduate... And meet 5 seconds of summer. 
That would be so amazing!

My sister just sat at the table, trying not to show that she was jealous.
My parents always said, that only one of us could go to the school of fandoms.
It's quite expensive, and we're not a very rich family.

'Do you want to do that to your sister, Amy?' My mom asked me.
I looked at my sister, at my mom, and back at my sister.
Do I want to do that to my sister?
The sister who never really liked me. 
Do I want to ignore all her pleads for my own happiness?
Hell yes!

'Well, mother. Since Elizabeth never really liked me, I think it's the best for both of us, if I went to that school.' I said. 
I couldn't really come up with a better reason for me to go to that school, instead of my sister.

'Well then, that's settled.' My dad said, grabbing a pen and signing the application form.
He gave the form and the pen to my mother, who also signed it.
My mom gave it to me, and I folded it and put it in an envelope.

School of fandoms, here I come!
