The Missing Hero

Chapter 1: Flashbacks

The eight of us stood in a line, awaiting our task. We stood in line in this order: Inferno, Stargaze, Clandestine, Macadamize, Rectify,
Oratory, Maindrift(me), and Dolour.

Chaos paced in front of us, "The assignment I am about to give will cause some of you extreme emotional pain. " He looked at me,
"Some more than others. You will be banding together with some other heroes to defeat one enemy. Uranus has awoken and is
prepared to take the Earth as well as the Sky. He is trying to be the ruler of both Earth and Sky. You must stop him. " he looked at me
again, "You will be banding together with the minor Gods at your old home, Camp Half-Blood. "

Bitterness grew in me, just from the name of that wretched place. Then I realized why he had even brought the name up.

Anger grew inside of me, "I am never going back to that miserable camp. " I said firmly.

Chaos said, "You don't have much choice in the matter, Maindrift. You can not disobey me. I am the one that saved you from that
camp, I am the one that gave you everything you have. You can not argue. You are going, whether you like or not. Now all of you, go
get your armor on, you will be departing soon. " Inferno grabbed me and pulled me along. People kept trying to talk to me, but I
wouldn't answer. I was too busy reliving the worst day of my life.

*FLASHBACK*

I was walking to the beach, to meet Annabeth on what was supposed to be the best day of my life. I was about to walk up to her, when
Peter, my half-brother (who I hate), walked up behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist. She turned and-and kissed him.
Right there in front of me.

I was shocked, "Annabeth...?"

She broke away from him and turned. Her brows furrowed, "Percy?"

I got really angry then, angrier than I've ever been, "YOU LIAR!!!! I TRUSTED YOU!!! I TRUSTED YOU, AND YOU DO THIS? THIS
IS HOW YOU REPAY ME FOR ALL I HAVE DONE FOR YOU?"

"Percy, I- "

"Don't bother!!" I threw what I had in my hand at her. I was so angry that my aim was terrible. It landed in the sand at her feet. The lid
snapped open from the force to reveal a shining ring. It had an emerald in the middle with little grey stones surrounding it. The band
was engraved with WISE GIRL + SEAWEED BRAIN. she stared at it as I turned and dove into the sea, propelling myself as far away
from that beach as I could.

*FLASHBACK OVER*

Before we get to the armor, let me explain, this is not armor. This is a suit that looks like armor, but molds perfectly to your skin.
Everyone has a different colored piece of armor. Everyone has one solid color, then has another color that glows at certain points. The
points are the following: fingertips, knuckles, band around the wrist, band around the forearms, encircling the neck where a shirt
collar would be, creating the muscles of the chest, down the side of the leg, down the side of our feet and a glowing C on the right side
of our chest, and the first letter of our name on the left, right above our hearts. The head is a whole 'nother story.
We had greek helms, with a horsehair plume representing our godly parent, that fit snugly to our faces. The breast plate continues up
the neck and connects to the helmet. Where there should be openings, there was tinted glass. We can remove the part that is tinted
glass so that people can see our faces. We do this with a thought.

Inferno's suit was black with white glow and a plume of tiny fused bones. Stargaze had a dark forrest green with silver glow and a
plume of branches. Clandestine had a grey with bright green and plume of branches intertwined with fused bones. Macadamize had
black with a multicolor glow and a fire for the plume. The fire actually moves like an actual flame, like his head is on fire, but cooler.
The lights transitioned between red, orange, and yellow, like coals in a fire. Rectify had a white suit with pink glow and a plume of pink
flowiness. Oratory hada green suit with gold glow and a plume of little wings. Dolour had a blue with the color ogygia *actually a
color* as her glow and a plume of moon lace. I had a dark blue suit with transitioning colors, like Macadamize's suit. My glow
transitioned from sea green, to Caribbean blue, to a turquoise, to a dark purple with a plume of flowing water. The suits that
transitioned sort of looked like waves or a flame. Not all of them changed at the same time.

Inferno walked up behind me when I was suited up, "You ready, bro?" I took out my pen and uncapped it. I slid the sword into the
sheath molded onto the back of my armor. The armor was slick looking and wasn't clunky or anything. *sort of like the tron suits, but
cooler* I nodded to Inferno and we set off towards the surface. Our realm was underwater, but had air in it. The suits also provided
oxygen, if need be (not me). I shot towards the surface, propelling the others for them. They didn't have water powers so. . . Yeah. We
broke the surface and set off towards my least favorite place and. . . Her. *pretend that's in italics*
