Chapter 4
Everything was spinning. I felt so cold. My body shivered as though it just came out of a pool of ice water. There was this annoying sound that kept nagging at me. I could feel my eyes open but all was blurry. Oh god, am I going blind?
"Blood.... Out..... Eyes...."
What? I'm confused. Lestat? What's happening to me? Why can't I move my body? Am I dying already? Has the grim reaper come to collect my soul?
"Stay awake....... Drink...."
Something warm entered my mouth and slid down my throat. I could feel my throat muscles contracting to help it travel safe down to the hot pit of my stomach. It's taste was sweet and familiar.
I screamed out as my body erupted in pain. It was becoming hard to breathe. Something bitter then entered my mouth. It slid down my throat with ease. My body began to convulse. A voice was whispering frantically in my ear. My body now felt like it was being turned over a fire. Intense pain erupted in my gums. My skin felt strange.
The pain became unbearable. Too much was happening. My vision was becoming black. I could feel a single tear fall down the side of my face as I dived into complete darkness.

Screams of terror.
The sounds of fighting.
Chaos everywhere.
I opened my eyes. All was still blurry but not as bad before. Someone was carrying me. I looked all around to see bodies falling.
The kingdom is under attack!
I looked up to try and see who was holding me. I couldn't focus my vision. The person looked down at me and whispered, "sorry." I looked up confused as something pricked my neck. My vision became dark once more. Fuck. Not again.

My eyes fluttered opened from the sudden light that entered the room. I blinked and looked around to com to notice my vision was no longer blurry. This isn't my room. I sat up and swung my legs off the bed. Well tried to. I looked down to see my legs shackled to the bed. I went to touch the cold metal but my hand didn't go far. My hands too were shackled to the bed. What's going on? Where am I?
Movement to my right caught my attention. A smile spread across my face.
"Lestat, what's going on? Why am I shackled to this bed?"
He wouldn't look me in the eye. I frowned confused. He's acting strange.
"Lestat?"
My attention was diverted from him when the door across the bed slammed open. Three buff men walked in looking like a couple of gang members. The biggest one walked closest to the bed wearing a smile that made me feeling uncomfortable and squirm in my place. He had a large white scar in the shape of an x on his face and his auburn hair was buzzed close to his scalp.
"Well, well, well, look who has finally woken up! It's nice to have you here princess," he said with an aged rough voice.
"Who are you people? Why am I here?" I demanded.
He slowly shook his head and made a clicking sound with his tongue," Lestat hasn't informed you?"
"Informed me of what?" I asked confused.
"Well two things but we'll talk about the most important matter first. You see my kingdom, my wolfs, have been hunted and drunken dry. Some were slaughtered though. Viciously. I don't appreciate innocent people being killed and thrown to the side like they're nothing. I've captured you to gain the attention of the high counsel of vampires. I'm tired of not being listened to. Day by day I wake to discover more of my people dead. I'm sick of it. And I believe it's time to get revenge. Now on the other thing you need to know...," he trailed off to look at something above my head. I looked up and behind me but saw nothing. When my eyes landed back on the man he was smiling in amusement. "I'll leave it to Lestat to tell you."
He turned around and left with the two other men trailing behind him. I looked over at Lestat in disbelief. He's not human? H-he's one of them? But he was so kind to me. I don't understand.
"I-is what he said all true?" I asked with a quivering voice. He just stared at the floor as though it was the most interesting thing. I-I felt so comfortable with this man and now...now I don't know if I do.
"This wasn't what originally suppose to happen..yet," he whispered.
"What do you mean yet?"
He sighed heavily as he ran a hand down his tired looking face," I was out patrolling the forest when your mothers trackers captured me. Rex told me to mask my wolf scent and act human. So I did. As our plans changed so did I. I can't explain it but something happens to me when I'm near you. Look.... He is gonna.... He's got something planned for you."
The way he was talking was scaring me.
"W-what are you talking about?"
He looked as though he was regretting what he was about to say.
"He uh...... He wants to send body parts of you t-to your kingdom and if that doesn't shake them up then he'll kill you and send them your dead body," he said looking away. My body began to shake in fear. N-no they can't do that.
"What? N-no he can't!" I said in disbelief.
"He can and he will but I won't let him. Cause you're.....," he trailed off looking at something above my head.
"What are you looking at?" I asked becoming irritated.
"You were dying. He ordered me to do it. I ....,"
"Lestat, you're not making sense. What are you trying to say?"
His eyes flickered above my head. I reached up to feel that my hair wasn't the only thing on my head. I gasped and looked at him in shock.
"W-what did you do?!"
"I gave you venom."
"V-venom?"
"Werewolf venom. Over half of your vampire cells were dead. You were dying. I tried giving you blood but it wasn't enough. So I gave you venom and you got.....,"
"Got freaking ears. Dog ears! What am I?"
"A hybrid. Half vampire and half wolf," he whispered." You don't just have ears you also have a tail," he mumble the last word.
"A hybrid?"
"Possibly the first."
I looked down to see my "tail" slowly moving back and forth over the edge of the bed.This can't be happening.
