Forbidden Love

Chapter 9

Veronica's POV:

I push her away. I pull her close to me. I whisper "Not yet."

I place a gentle kiss on her forehead. We both lay on to bed. A cuddle her in my arms as we slowly drift to sleep. The last thing I hear before I drift into dream world was "Get a lot of sleep. Tomorrow is going to be a rough day."

The next day...

I wake up. Eternity is still in a deep sleep. I slowly slip out of bed. As of today we are breaking the rules of both our clans and the law. Today is my 18th birthday. Eternity is only 17. One more week then she will also be 18. All I need is one more week. I put on a pair of jeans and one of my old band shirts. I put a jacket on over top. I put up my hood. I sit on the edge of the bed and close my eyes to think. After thinking or what seemed about 10 minutes I knew what I had to do. I stand up and look toward Eternity. I whisper with a smile on my face "And so the lion-" I was cut off. Eternity rolled over with sleepy eyes and smiled as she finished my sentence "-in love with the lamb." She stretched her arms. She still had sleepy eyes. She was so adorable when she was sleepy. I walked over to the side of the bed closest to her. I got down on one knee beside the bed. I said to her...
