Forbidden Love

Chapter 5

Veronica's POV:

I heard A yelp in the distance. Eternity? Did my clan find her? I quickly dashed toward the sound. Run fast. Dodging trees. I picked up the sent of a wolf. A wolf, with fear. I was running as fast as I could but I pushed myself to run harder and faster. I made my way through a clearing. I saw the edge of a cliff and two wolf paws slipping. I quickly went to grab her paws. I was knocked back. My father stood there with blood red eyes and his black hair combed back. He turned toward the wolf and stepped on her right paw. I shouted "father please! Don't hurt her. Help her." He pushed down harder with his foot. She slipped. My father turned and smiled. I'm crazy for this...but I ran and jumped. I landed on the ground below before her. I rolled so she would land on me and I would break her fall.

She hit me. Hard. I could feel my ribs snap and puncture my lungs. I gasped for air. I felt fur turn to skin. She began to cry. I felt her arms pull me up as she said "why did you do that?" she hugged me. I felt more tears. I slowly raised my arm to wipe them away. I looked at her and said "I did it to protect you. I would die for you." She said "I don't want you to die. I can't live without you." I smiled weakly as I said "You won't have to. I'm not going anywhere. I heal quick. I promise."

Eternity's POV:

Once again she said I promise. I couldn't stand looking at her and seeing her in so much pain all because of me. Her skin turned paler. She sat up. I could tell her bones were still broke. I carried her back to the house. I opened the door. Her mom stood there. I didn't care. I ran past her and up to the bed. I layed her down. Her mom walked in and said "what have you done?" I turned with teary eyes. Her expression grew lighter. I said "She wanted to save me because your husband knocked me off a cliff. Please just let me take care of her." She walked out.

She helped me when I was hurt now its my turn to help her. I looked out the window to see my pack. I felt warm arms wrap around me. I heard gentle words say "I told you I would heal quick." I pointed to the pack. I saw Drake shift back to human. He had his hands in fists. The pack howled. She squeezed me tighter. I said "They know and they don't like it." She said "It's forbidden but I don't care." I said "I love you." She said "Then I guess it's us against the world." Drake bursts through the bedroom door and shouted "I warned you leech." His face showed anger. The rest if the pack was still outside. He saw that Veronica was holding me and said "Let her go."

Veronica's POV:

Eternity pulled me even closer and said "Don't ever let go." I said "I promise." She put her hands on my cheeks. I heard steps. The whole pack came in. With a pissed off clan of vampires behind them. Me and Eternity stood in the middle of the room. My clan moved to one side and the pack moved to the other. My father stepped forward and showed his fangs. Drake said "Eternity. Please. We're meant to be. While you and her? That's just wrong." My father spoke "Shut up you dumb mutt!" Them turned to me and said "Sweetie. She is a girl and a pure bred wolf. What you feel isn't real." I wrapped my arms around Eternity and said "You can't chose who you fall in love with." I felt gentle lips. In my mind fireworks went off. More than you would see at a firework grand finale on the Fourth of July.

So soft. So gentle. So perfect. So...so...right. I pulled away. If this was a cartoon, hearts would be

floating around us. Drake grabbed Eternity. My father grabbed me. They began pulling us away. I kicked and punched but my father was too strong. I saw Eternity doing the same. I shouted "No matter what you do me and her will always find each other. You can change my name or her name or even our appearance but we will always love each other."

I was losing site of Eternity as they dragged her out the door. I said with a pained voice and tears in my eyes "I will find you. I'm in love with you Eternity. You are my soulmate." They pulled her away, I saw her tears. My father held me even after I lost sight of her. He dragged me out of the house and back to his house. They locked me in my room and kept me under close watch.
