Shawn Mendes Imagine

"God, I feel so pregnant." I mumbled, Shawn's arm delicately placed on my waist. He just chuckled softly, kissing the back of my head.

"I didn't know pregnant was a way to describe your feelings."

It was about twelve-thirty and the room was now fully set up, the tables decorated with fake snow near a small vase in the center that contained pinecones and leaves.

"We get to find out if it's a boy or girl today." Shawn smiled down at me, letting out a breath.

"It's kind of weird everyone else knows the gender of our baby except us, but I like it too." I shrugged, watching as Shawn moved in front of me.

"Hi baby, we get to see you in a month. Isn't that awesome? You're going to love your mommy— And your daddy, because he's way cooler."

I playfully hit Shawn's shoulder, both of us laughing. "Why do you insist on talking to my child?"

"I read it's good for the baby because when it's born they may be able recognize your voice," He nonchalantly replied, turning his attention away to the doorbell that chimed as it opened.

He squeezed my side lightly before walking to the man, who was carrying a large box that contain the subs we ordered.

Soon after, guests started piling into the room, talking with each other and setting down gifts. I was almost immediately overwhelmed with the show-up, though it knew it would be a lot, I was still surprised.

Everything seemed to be buzzing from there on, even at dinner when I sat down with my parents, Shawn, and his parents.

"Are you excited?" Mrs. Mendes asked, taking a bite of her salad. I finished my mouthful, nodding. "Yes, I can't wait to see my beautiful child." I smiled, Shawn's hand rubbing my thigh soothingly.

She nodded, not having anything to say beyond there. "What gender do you think it is?" My mom asked, looking back and forth between Shawn and I.

"We both think it's going to be a boy, and though I slightly want a girl, it doesn't matter." Shawn laughed, because he just wanted to see his creation.

"Any names?" I gave her a knowing look. "You looked on the question sheet, didn't you?" A small smile that broke her face hinted the truth of my accession, making me shake my head.

I stood up from the table after I was finished, going to the front of the room. "So as you may have noticed, there's a sheet of paper at each seat that's turned down. For the next five minutes, try to answer the questions as accurately as possible. We're giving out a prize for the winner," I smiled, everyone quickly turning the questions over.

"Do you think the questions were too hard?" Shawn asked as he came up from behind, resting his head on my shoulder and snaking his arms around my waist gently.

"I don't know— What are the questions again? I don't remember a lot of them." I laughed, Shawn walking over to grab an unused paper.

"One; What is the baby's due date?" Shawn quoted, looking at me. "That's not that difficult. I feel like I'm constantly screaming about March fifteenth." I whispered the last part in hopes of the guests not overhearing our conversation.

"Two; What is Shawn's middle name(s)?" He smirked, but frowned slightly. "The whole adding a parenthesis with an S gives away the fact I have two middle names." He pouted softly. kissing my cheek.

"Three; What zodiac sign will the baby's be?" I shrugged lightly. "That one's easy, or it should be."

"Four; if the baby will be born in March, about what month did they do it?" My mouth gaped open. I hadn't done much with this game. "Shawn!" He just laughed, his face flushing a pink color.

"Five; What is are main boy and girl names?"

"Eh," I said, "do you think they'll guess it?"

Shawn shrugged. "We've had to mention Amber or Bennett sometime." I nodded, moving down the list.

"Six; How many tattoos does Shawn and Y/n have combined?" I smiled. "They should get this one because all I say is how much I love my tattoos, and you only have two."

Shawn laughed, "You only have two, too. In case you didn't realize."

"Seven; When was Shawn's first world tour?" Shawn smiled faintly at the memory. "Back in ol' 2015. Who knew that six years later I would be married with a child on the way." He kissed my cheek again, making me blush.

"Eight; What year did Shawn and Y/n meet?"

'They should all get this one, at least. It was 2016."

"Nine; What song did Shawn write about Y/n?"

"Memories, of course. That one is so adorable." I said instantly to him, making his cheeks flush again.

"Ten; What date did Y/n marry Shawn?"

"That one is easy too. November 22nd, 2019."

And as it turned out, the person who won was my best friend, with a score of nine because she answered the main boy name wrong and put Benjamin instead.

Nothing made me more nervous than standing next to the big cake. In the middle revealed either the color pink or blue, which told us what gender our child would be. Shawn stood beside me, his eyes twinkling in the light that shone through the nearby window.

"Are you ready, baby?" He asked softly, looking at the cake knife laying next to it. I nodded, taking in a breath.

"Okay, we're going to cut the cake." Shawn announced, making everyone turn in their seats to get a better view. He moved it to a center table, standing off to the side. He held the knife, motioning for me to grab it with him.

"One, two, three," I said, pushing into the soft cake with my hand on top of Shawn's. I let go as he slid it through a second time, making sure it was separated.

He nodded at me as I looked up, making me pick up the serving tool. I could hear awes and cameras clicking as I cut a small slice, pulling it out.

"It's a girl!" Someone in the front spoke loudly, making the rest cheer. I could feel tears wanted to spill, though I forced myself not to. "Look at us, we got our baby girl as we wanted." Shawn took me into his embrace, kissing my hair.

"I'm so happy, I love you so so much." I mumbled, his hands rubbing my back.

"I'm setting that as my background!" My friend yelled, making the rest of us laugh.

"We made it. Our wonderful baby girl is coming home soon."
