A/N: The part before this, the prologue, was just a little introduction. This chapter starts off a couple of days later, just to keep any confusion from happening :) It's not rushed either, I'm just starting this off differently, then everything else will progress.x Here is the first chapter as promised :)

Harry's POV

Waking up to a pounding headache was definitely not my most favorite thing to experience, but I always told myself that after getting a hangover. A groan escaped my lips and I slowly sat up, wincing at the blinding sunlight showing from the curtains. I looked down and saw my chest was exposed, which caused me to grip the sheets and move them out of curiosity. Not surprisingly, I was naked, which I was kind of expecting. I turned to tell the girl I had slept with that she needed to leave, knowing that the boys wouldn't be too happy about it. Of course they wouldn't have known though, they had come back after me and the unknown girl, and the walls were soundproof. But what I saw instead, caused me to jump out of bed and start shouting.

"What the fuck?!" I said loudly, my eyes wide, and the person I had seen shot up from the bed, confused. As soon as he saw himself though, and then me, he started shouting as well. We were loud enough for the others to hear, and soon enough there were knocks on the door, worried calls coming from them outside, causing both Liam and I to go silent and look at each other.

"Well, don't look at me! Lock the door!" I whisper yelled, and Liam quickly complied. "Yeah, yeah! I'm fine! Just Liam scared the life out of me is all." I called, laughing and playing it off. The others fell for it and I sighed in relief, waiting to hear them leave. Liam and I looked at each other, horrified at the situation, then we both quickly snatched a pillow and covered our crotches.

"Well," I cleared my throat. "This is quite awkward, isn't it?" I said, biting my lip and scratching the back of my neck with my other hand.

"Uh, yeah. Quite." Liam laughed awkwardly, nodding slightly. "I think I'm just going to.. Yeah." He said uncomfortably, before grabbing his clothes and quickly pulling them on then leaving the room, leaving me standing there. I don't know how I managed to do it, but I went into the bathroom and turned on the shower, stepping in and letting the warm water run down my body. I closed my eyes and sighed, the headache not even bothering me anymore. All I could think about was that I had slept with Liam last night, my best mate.

It weirded me out, no doubt. I couldn't remember a thing last night, but I'm sure we had all gotten badly drunk, if it managed to get me and Liam to sleep together without knowing what was going on. I'm glad I can't remember it though, I don't think I want to. I'm straight, of course I wouldn't want to, not that I have anything against whoever people have a preference for. I knew I was straight though, that was the thing. This was just a drunken mistake, it's not like either of us can remember it. What bugs me is that we know it happened, and it may have put a possible strain on our friendship.

I sighed as I shut the water off, noticing a good twenty minutes had passed with all of the thinking I had been doing. I stepped out and dried off, walking into my room and getting dressed. I styled my hair up the way I usually did, took a deep breath, and walked out into the main part of the tour bus, sitting on the couch beside Niall and greeting them all. I did notice Liam, who looked rather deep in thought, but I shrugged it off, knowing things were really awkward between us at the moment.

"We're headed to the interview we have, we slept in more than we should have." Zayn yawned, laughing a bit and rubbing his eyes. "Um, we have soundcheck after it, too." He said, then he noticed my confused look and laughed. "It's five in the afternoon, soundcheck at six."

"Five in the afternoon? God, I don't think I've ever slept that long." I mumbled, laughing softly and feeling the bus come to a stop. Reluctantly, I stood up from the comfortable couch and followed the others off of the bus and into the building the interview was held in. It was a little video interview for a magazine, so we were prepped up and then we sat in chairs next to eachother, then we were given each a microphone.

"We are here today with the Harry, Liam, Louis, Niall and Zayn from the biggest boy band that is at the top of the charts, One Direction!" The interviewer introduced, and we all said a polite hello into the microphones. "My name is Paige, it's very nice to meet you boys and thank you for joining us." She smiled, looking quite excited. She was pretty, I had to admit, and she was probably three or four years older than us.

"Thank you for having us, Paige." I replied, giving her a smile and shifting in my seat a little bit. A light blush creeped up her cheeks, causing the other boys to laugh a bit and joke around.

"Ladies can't resist the charm, I can't help it." I joked, shrugging and smirking slightly, keeping up my flirty image and laughing softly, giving her a playful wink.

"Right, right." Paige laughed, nodding and messing with the ends of her hair. "So, a couple of pictures have been over the Internet, you boys went to a club last night? How did you manage to do that?" She asked, raising an eyebrow at us and laughing.

"Well, I'm really the only one who can go to clubs and consume alcohol here in America," Louis said, a smug smile on his face as he looked at us. "But," He laughed, shaking his head. "We uh, we pulled a few strings. Avoided the slammer." He joked.

"Excluding Zayn and Louis, were any girls taken to the bedroom last night, boys?" Paige joked, laughing and looking at Liam, Niall, and I. Liam and I glanced at each other and I caught his gaze, but we quickly looked away, looking a bit uncomfortable.

"No, no. No girls last night." Niall laughed, shaking his head as well as Liam and I, our movements a bit awkward.

"I see, a gentleman never tells, right?" Paige laughed, causing the five of us to laugh as well.

The rest of the interview consisted of questions we were used to answering, and I knew that Louis, Niall, and Zayn were aware of the obvious tension between Liam and I throughout soundcheck. Even during the concert, Liam and I weren't acting the same. We didn't do too much messing around on stage, we kind of just moved around a bit and sang, but we tried to make it seem like we were just tired.

"Mate, are you and Liam alright?" I heard Louis ask me after the concert backstage, and I looked at him and quickly nodded.

"Oh yeah, everything is fine. We're just a bit tired, we did drink more than you others last night, after all." I said, laughing it off and faking a smile. Something told me that he definitely didn't believe me, and I could feel their watchful eyes on the both of us who avoided talking to each other.

-

Over the next couple of days, Liam and I had barely spoken to each other. If we were ever in a room together, one of us would always leave to avoid the awkward tension in the air. Louis, Niall, and Zayn just figured we probably got into a fight, and they didn't interfere. But here I stood, outside of Liam's room on the tour bus. The others had gone out in hopes that we would be forced to interact with each other, and it worked. I needed to talk to him about what happened; and I didn't want our friendship to be like this because of a silly, drunken mistake.

I had also noticed that I was looking at Liam differently, and I wasn't sure why. I noticed how his eyes, so alluring, seemed to sparkle whenever something made him happy. I noticed how whenever he talked, he liked to lift his hand a lot, then move it back down to his leg. I noticed how whenever he laughed, he leaned forward just a bit and his eyes squinted. It was actually quite attractive, if you really looked at him and noticed the little things he does.

What was I saying? No, I didn't mean that, definitely not at all. I was so confused lately, I didn't know what this strange feeling was whenever I saw Liam, and it was bugging me. I sighed quietly, preparing myself and I knocked on his door lightly, then ran a hand through my hair. The door soon opened, and Liam looked quite surprised to see me. I cracked a small smile at him, but then I looked at him seriously.

"We really need to talk." I said, biting my lip and looking at him. Liam nodded in agreement and he let me inside of his room. I sighed, pursing my lips and trying to think of how to start. "About what happened.. I.. Well, I don't want this to.. Affect our relationship, you know?" I said, taking a breath.

"I completely agree," Liam nodded, shuffling his feet a bit. "I don't like this awkwardness between us. It happened, and we can't change that. We're still best mates, right?" He said, looking at me, and I nodded in response.

"Of course, we'll always be best mates no matter what, Li." I replied, smiling a bit. "Nothing will ever change that."

Liam smiled a little, then he looked like he wanted to say something, but he wasn't sure. "I have a confession to make," He sighed. "I don't know what's been going on with me lately, but I feel.. Different around you. It's not necessarily a bad different, I don't know what it is. I just wanted to tell you, because if I didn't I would still feel awkward." He laughed.

"Oh, thank God." I laughed, sighing in relief. "I have the same feeling, that really lifts a lot of weight off my shoulders. I thought I was going insane." I said, feeling normal with him again, despite the feeling. "I'm really glad that we can get over this. We were drunk, and we do stupid stuff when we're drunk. Let's not be weird about it." I smiled, giving him a hug. Liam hugged back and laughed.

"Yeah, I'm glad things are alright now with us. It's been a week, and I can tell the others are worried." He said, pulling back from the hug after a minute.

"But, you know, let's keep this between us." I said, running a hand through my hair. "No one else really needs to know what happened."

"Definitely, I won't say a word." Liam said, then he ruffled my hair playfully and we both laughed, joking around like we normally did.

"Alright, I won't either. I'm probably going to watch a fillm or something. You're welcome to join." I shrugged, standing in the doorway and smiling at him.

"I think I'll take a short nap, I'm still exhausted." Liam yawned, smiling back. "I'll probably join you in an hour or something." He laughed, and I nodded and waved.

"See you, Li!" I called in a singsong tone, laughing and walking off to the living room. I heard him laugh in response and I sat on the couch, sighing as I turned on the television. That worked out a lot better than I expected it to. But that weird feeling I had seemed to just get even worse.

It massively confused me; what was this feeling and why wouldn't it go away?

(A/N)

Oh, oh.

So this is the first chapter, woo. I actually love writing Lirry, it's such a cute bromance even though it really is nonexistent lol.

Ahem, well. Just to avoid any confusion; Harry has been having this feeling even before they, you know, *cough* fucked *cough*, and so has Liam. It's just building up a little more.

Anyway, massive thank you for reading and I hope you liked it, I'm looking forward to this story.
