if the wind never blowed, i wonder what would the world be like? No waves. No sand dunes. No wind blown hair style. No trees blown over, No tornadoes. Twisters. Son of a... i took it upon myself to wonder these things, to think of these things and know. Without wind, what would there be? The rain would not move, it would only be where it cam from. Birds could not fly for so very long. And i would not sit here, wishing my hair would stay out of my face.

trees were such strange things. They were alive and yet, they didn't look it. They could not move, they could not think. No noise, no sight, no taste. A tree is living and yet it is dead. They survive for so long, but you must wonder, what a dull life they must lead, a life but no life.

i couldn't find it. My locket, i'd had that thing for ten years, why couldn't i find it? i threw clothes out of my way, wading through the mess on my bedroom floor. Floor. I didn't have one. My room was the messiest i'd ever seen, and i loved it. Everything had a place, mum tried cleaning my room once, she'd told me she'd put everything in a spot, so it all had a place. I couldn't find a thing. Everything does have a place. Jewelery on my desk, papers in the draws and on the desk. Clean clothes in the middle of my room, and dirty clothes in the corners. Though they do tend to get mixed up sometimes, it's no matter. They aren't that dirty right?

Tally watched as the men loaded the moving truck. Why did we have to leave? she thought, all my friends are here, i don't know anyone in 'lame town' she couldn't be bothered remembering the actual name of the town she and her mum were moving to, nor did she care. Tally was country-born, but she'd been raised in the city, so knew nothing of the soft, rolling hills, and beautiful blue sky she'd fantasized living around forever when she was younger. Now, the country seemed to be the last place on earth that she wanted to be.

heart, beats, fast

colours and promises

how to be brave?

how can i love when i'm afraid to fall

but watching you stand alone

all of my doubts

suddenly goes away somehow

one step closer

Sarah sung, her voice cracking and not quite hitting the right pitch, though in her mind she was the worlds newest pop star

i have died every day waiting for you

darling don't be afraid i have loved you

for a thousand years

i'll love you for a thousand more

a knock on her bedroom door brought Sarah back to the present, and away from the imaginary stage, where she used her hairbrush as a microphone.

"Sarah! stop screaming you aren't dying!" She scowled at her sisters voice. She knew Darla could sing much better than herself, but that didn't mean she was going to admit it.

Reece stood up straight, waiting for her name to be called. the lines he stood in was perfect, not a toe out of place, in the row of fifty or so boys. Reece being the only girl.

"Reece Collins?"

"Here Sir!" Reece spoke loud, confident. Not hesitating a moment to answer her name for the role call. Army Cadets had been her fathers idea before he'd passed away, and though Reece didn't like it as much as her father thought, she put as much effort into it as she could to make her fathers spirit happy.
