The sky was a painting of dark blue and blue hues as snowflakes fell and made a swift ballet pirouette to the ground. I awoke with misty eyes, as I gazed at the beautiful landscape that was being painted right in front of me, I have always loved winter, it helped me remind myself of who I am, being a middle school student it's very hard for people to accept you, especially if your not acting the same way as everyone else, I was awake quite early in the morning as usual, nobody was awake except for my mom but it was very peaceful as if I had nothing to worry about.
"Julian are you okay?? you have to get ready for school" I turned around to my mother with a smile as I nod but a look of dysphoria was shown in my hunter green eyes.
Ever since I have been going to my school I have been paranoid, The way I see people acting it...petrifies me sometimes, I've witnessed bullying, violence, and many more things, it doesn't help me with my learning, even though it does not seem like I am afraid, I am .... my expressions sometimes are deceiving. I feel safe at my school but I will admit that my experience is not exactly pleasing, I still have a good reputation and I plan to keep it that way. Today though feels different, I feel as if there might be a slight change today, also I have a bit of confidence, I feel rather jubilant and happy. When my morning is like this it feels a little peculiar but pleasant. My uniform was a putrid mix of White and Beige, Uniforms in my opinion are terrible, but I can understand why we have to wear them, but what disturbs me is the color, not to mention it does not express me as a person, But maybe it's better that way anyways, they probably have a good reason to. I rushed downstairs to have my Earl Grey Tea, I always try to make in the morning. The teapot was designed with floral print and a rose to match, with a porcelain finish. I sniffed the air as the aroma filled the room and poured myself a nice warm cup of tea, which soothed my nerves a little. When the tea slowly went down my throat I felt warm and no longer cold. As I finished, I washed my teacup and saucer.
"Now , do you have everything??" I looked at my mom blinking with a confused expression but I soon realize I have forgotten my glasses and my wallet.
I shook my head and quickly scurried back upstairs into my bedroom and took my black rimmed glasses and my wallet that was a midnight shade of blue with white paisley designs. I placed my wallet in my pocket and as quick as a frightened cat I zoomed back into the kitchen to say goodbye to my mom. By this time I was out the door, into the cold, wintry atmosphere. It was so brisk, that my breath was visible, almost like fog. The breeze blew my hood off of my head and soon my hair was flowing in the wind, almost like those movies, with a dramatic flare and cinematic music in the background. Beginning to stroll on the twisted sidewalk, I shiver and start to get sniffy, sometimes it would take me almost half an hour to walk in this type of weather, and unfortunately too I also got sick because of the cold. I continue to walk down the grey frosted covered sidewalk, I looked at my surroundings it took my mind off of the cold, the dangling icicles, the frozen dew drops on flowers, and the beautifully snow covered trees that was easily noticeable. The snowflakes swirled all over myself like a whirlwind but softer. I felt like I was ice skating, or doing a graceful dance, it was wonderful I never experienced something so...enchanting. But.....my happiness was...well...short-lived as I am now at school. I was still overjoyed but I still knew what was to be expected. Then, I heard a bird, almost like...wait?? a dove?? I turn around to find a white dove as it hands me an envelope and rests on my shoulder. I tilt my head and open the envelope with care as the letter reads.
