Chapter 24: Competition's A Struggle But I'm Competitive

Melissa's P.O.V

Logan finally breaks his glare at Jayden as Jordan and Drew pull up to the house. I catch Drew's scent and I race to the car as Drew is getting out. Again I slam him against the cat but Logan rips me back before I can kiss him.

"Melissa! Calm down!" Logan says, holding me back. I burie my face in Logan's chest. Logan wraps his arms around me.

"This is getting a little crazy. Melissa, you can't keep acting like this ..." I cut Jordan off with a powerful growl. A growl I didn't even know I was capable of.

Jordan and Drew both take a few steps back with wide eyes. "I'm not trying to act like this! I don't want this! I can't take it! I just want it to go away!" I scream.

Logan tightens his grip on me. "We'll make it go away, I promise."

I burie my face in his chest again. "I'm sorry, Melissa. We will make it go away." Jordan says. "Take me home." I say.

Logan leads me to the car as I try to hold back tears. "It'll be fine, hon. I promise." He says as he drives us to his apartment.

I lean my head on his shoulder. As we get to his apartment we sit in the car in silence for awhile. I break the silence. "I'm sorry, Logan. I'm not a good mate. I've put you through hell ..."

Logan stops me with a kiss. The kiss sends shocks through me. My heart pounds faster than normal.

"I love you, Melissa. You and your flaws. Your flaws are perfect to me. Everything about you is perfect." He says.

He's the only person I know that can make me feel like I'm on a high. He makes me speechless. We walk inside as it starts raining.

The house is dark as thunder booms through the air.

He switches the lights on and walks into the kitchen. I follow after him, still feeling like I'm a horrible mate. I can't let this keeping happening. I'd do anything to keep Logan happy and these weird sex craves for many other males ain't keeping him happy.

Logan sits down at the snackbar, lost in thought.

I watch him closely, waiting for him to say something. He's quite for awhile before he says. "How was he?"

"What?" I say completely confused.

"Jayden. How was he?"

Oh! He doesn't mean ... he does!

Wow, this is awkward.

Logan looks at me and raises his eyebrows at me, waiting for my response.

I never thought I would ever have to have this conversation with him or anyone. Logan waits expectantly as I stare at him.

The thing is, it was good. But it was only good because my stupid Mask Wolf took over and anything it felt, I felt and the Wolf liked it. So I liked it.

I guess it's now or never.

I take a deep breath before saying. "Good."

Logan says nothing. He doesn't exactly look hurt but he doesn't look fine either.

"Logan." I say. He looks up at me with his blue eyes.

"I love you." I say.

He doesn't say anything, instead he stands up and walks over to me. He puts his hands on my waist and kisses me.

It's like the first kiss we had.

The kiss that made me feel like nothing I've ever felt before. The kiss that could take my breath away.
