"Bye Bandit, see you soon." The guys echoed before hopping onto the enormous tour bus with MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE sprawled across its exterior. I watched the bus drive down the dusty road until I could no longer see the tail lights in the distance. Then, giving up on the whole ordeal, I trudged back inside, throwing a goodnight over my shoulder to my mother, and going to my room to get some sleep.

Waking up to Perfect Weapon by Black Veil Brides, I get up and head to the bathroom to get ready. Sadly, I run into my reflection and groan loudly. I quickly brushed my teeth and ran a hand through my hair in a vain attempt to tame it. Running back to my room, I slide out of my pajamas and change into my skinny jeans and black My Chemical Romance shirt from 'Danger Days: The True Lives of The Fabulous Killjoys.' I hurriedly slip on some socks and make my way through the hallway and down the stairs- black converse in hand.

I looked around the kitchen, but caught no sight of my mother who is usually ever-present in the kitchen. Normally, she's be running around making breakfast in a hurry because I'm perpetually tardy. Without time, I pull open the pantry door and jam two cereal bars in my already stuffed backpack. I grab my long board and walk outside, propelling myself down the familiar Jersey streets and towards my personal prison.

I make it to school and of course, the Three Bitches of The West are perched just outside the school building. I walked around them, surprised they hadn't thrown any rude comments my way. I just heard them mutter some of the usual irrelevance "Did you hear about the new guy? I heard he's hot." I discretely rolled my eyes at their relentless babble, and continue on my way.

Ignoring them, I walk towards one of the gray locker banks that line Belleville high school's hallways, and make my way to my locker. As I opened it up all I heard were different variations of, "Did you see the new guy?" or "I saw the new guy and he's so hot." I throw my board in my locker and grab the assorted text and notebooks needed for my first class of the day- English.

Upon entering the class, I noticed the supposed "new kid" in my seat in the back corner of the classroom. Despite my love for English, I could never really bother to pay much attention to drivel. So naturally, I chose the seat closest to the large window in the back. I found daydreaming much more interesting than hearing about sonnets I'd already read. Returning my attention to the situation at hand, I made my way towards the teacher. "That kid is in my seat." I mumbled curtly.

"Oh, sorry Bandit, I guess you'll have to seat in the seat next to him." Mr. Hanley said without even looking up at me. The tall, tanned man had been too busy scribbling down lesson plans and attendance to pay any mind to my clearly important problem.

"Okay." I sighed a sigh of utmost exasperation, taking the seat next to the boy.

Sitting down, I can fully take note of the new guy's features. The black haired boy was truly captivating. His fringe swooped over one of his piercing, blue eyes. On each side of his lip, sat a silver ring- snakebite piercings. I had requested the piercing on many occasions to which I got the same reply each time. No. That's when I observed his shirt. The newbie was vested in a My Chemical Romance shirt that I could tell he loved by the way it was well worn.

In that moment we noticed the other's shirts, and he passed me a knowing smile. I was about to respond something when Mr. Hanley spoke first, "Okay everyone," He started, addressing the class. "We have a new student. His name is Mikey Gilbert, and I expect only kindness to be shown to him." I nearly snickered at the name. You would never expect such a punk-looking kid to be named Michael Gilbert. It just wasn't fitting. "Oh, and, Bandit?"

"Yeah?" I reply, head snapping up at the mere mention of my name.

"You're going to show him around." At this moment all the girls turn to look at me, faces burning with envy. Damn, it was as though they had never seen a guy before. Sometimes I really worried about what went on in those girl's heads. The entirety of their existence seemed to revolve around boys and designer clothes... It was a thing of beauty, the functioning brain fueled by incompetence.

"Okay... Dammit." I mumble the last part under my breath. Despite the fact that Mikey seemed pretty chill, I really didn't need another reason to get picked on by the brain-dead assholes in this school.

"Come on introduce yourselves. Try not to bite each other." Mr. Hanley teases, and I turn in my seat to look at Mikey who was flushed at the sudden amount of attention he was receiving.

"Hey." I mumbled to Mikey right as Mr. Hanley was leaving the classroom, satchel slung over his suit-wearing shoulder. He certainly paid too much attention to fashion and social commodities to be a straight man.

"Hey" Mikey half-whispered back to me, offering a small smile.

"Let me see your schedule." I requested, mocking a harsh tone. Mikey giggled before passing me the schedule. He was cute, a cute guy with a cute giggle. Upon glancing at his schedule, I noticed he had nearly every class I did, with the exception of study hall and choir. The only difference was that our choir and study hall periods were swapped.

"Okay, so it looks like you'll be seeing a lot of me" I winked, "We have every period together except our choir periods are swapped."

"Fine by me" Mikey piped up. In that moment, the bell began to ring, filling the now empty hallways with a loud, obnoxious sound that let us know we were already late. I smirked at Mikey's worried expression and pulled him by the wrist; out of Mr. Hanley's classroom.

"Come on, Algebra's this way." I said to Mikey. And so, we were on our way towards algebra, which happened to be the worst subject to endure, but beheld the best teacher.
