'Well I got no cares in the world today,
My friends are close and my foe is away.
Stomp stomp stomp of my boots on the ground,
The noise coming up has me dancing around,'
Lucas Sharpire sang loudly, jumping around in his apartment in downtown Chicago. The lyrics of Ayala Lyvire resonated through the room, the upbeat words and catchy tune lifting Lucas' mood.
He had graduated only three weeks ago and his dad had finally allowed him to rent his own apartment. No more school, no more uniforms, no more rules! He had never felt so free!
The song ended and Lucas collapsed on his bed, worn out. Chicago was everything he had ever dreamed of, yet stupidly, he felt like he was forgetting something important. The kind of feeling you get when you are completely ready, for school say, and you step out of your house, only to find you've forgotten your pants. During the daytime, while he was out working, he was able to ignore this feeling. But at night, just before he fell asleep, the thought plagued him, causing him to toss and turn all night.
He didn't feel like cooking so he ordered Chinese, amd prepared for a night in watching movies.
Ding dong! The bell rang and he sank into the couch with a bowl, the Notebook already playing. He woild deny it to his dying day, but he still gota little teary-eyed watching it.
Ding dong! The bell rang again. Wondering who it could be he crossed to the door once more, only to find there was no one there.
He was about to close the door when he felt himself fading. Looking down at his hand he noticed to his horror that he could see through it. A sudden feeling of falling, and he shut his eyes tight, terrified of what was happening to him.
His body jerked to a stop, and he opened his eyes to see wooden walls, wooden floors, wooden ceiling. His legs shaking like jelly, he stumbled and fell, idly thinking that he wasn't in Chicago anymore, before blacking out.

Hi! I'm finally back!
This is just a short story and a very short chapter, but I hope that it can keep you all entertained, even if it's only for 20 mins!
Part 2 will be up in the next few days as I basically have this story all written and planned out, but I have to transfer it to wattpad, and I'm typing on a tablet.
As that is the case please excuse any mistakes. Generally I'm pretty good but occasionally I will miss something. If you notice it feel free to tell me!
