"Man wass'up na?" August asked rubbing a hand down his face. He was stressed out.

"I just came to bring you some food" Miracle signed walking in with a big plate of food.

She sat the food down and prepared to walk back out before August grabbed her hand, sitting her down on his lap.

"Look baby I'm sorry, I just been under a lot of stress lately" He said rubbing his hand up and down her thigh.

"I know daddy, that's why I try not to bother you to much. I just want you to eat okay" She smiled kissing his lips.

August nodded and let her get up. He watched her walk away until she was out of sight.

So much shit had happened in the past two years. He was grateful for Miracle because she stuck by his side through everything.

He stood up grabbing his plate. He was gonna go out and eat at the dinner table like a real family.

"You okay?" Chandra asked once August appeared next to her in the kitchen.

"I'm good" he replied.

"Your not eating in your office today?" Miracle smiled.

August smiled back and shook his head. "Damn" he mumbled admiring his beautiful fiancé.

"Uncle August?" Kay asked standing at the kitchen door.

"Yeah baby?" August asked walking over to Kay and swooping her up in his arms.

He walked out the kitchen and into the living room swinging Kay Kay around "wassup baby girl?" He was even more over protective of them now ever since what happen. She still had nightmares.

"I miss her" Kay said laying her head down on August shoulder.

"Not this shit again" August thought as he took a seat on the couch.

"Baby girl I know you miss her but-"

"Can we call her Uncle August? Pleaseeeeeeee"

"Kay what I just tell you huh"

"Please I just want to talk to her" Kay Kay said wiping away a couple of tears that  fell.

"I said no! Now don't ask me no more" August yelled not meaning to.

Kay Kay jumped down off his lap and ran upstairs crying.

"Shit!" August mumbled rubbing his hand down his face.

"August what's wrong with my baby?" Chandra asked walking into the living room.

"She wanted to talk to Carter" he signed.

"I'll talk to her" Chandra said walking away.

The last thing he wanted to do was make his baby cry. He hated seeing his girls cry but what else was he suppose to do?

Getting up from his seat he made his way to the girls play room.

"Daddy!" Cassie yelled. She sat in front of a Barbie doll house, playing with her Bratz and Barbie dolls.

"Hey baby" August smiled kissing her forehead.

"Dada!" Melanie smiled lifting up her arms so that August could pick her up.

"Hey princess" he smiled "What you doing?"

"Pway tea pawty!" She smiled.

"Okay go set up for me baby" August smiled as he watched her walk away.

Taking his phone out of his pocket he went in his messages and clicked on Carter name. He was about to text her again until he heard somebody banging on his front door.
