Reader's Pov
I was leisurely walking through the park, enjoying the sights. The streets were vacant since the road was iced over and it was too cold for most people to be outside. When it began to snow three hours earlier everyone rushed home. The roads were blocked off, and schools were shut down for the day. Most saw the snow as a hindrance, but I couldn't be happier. I had been waiting for this moment all year. I grabbed a coat out of my closet and pulled on my boots. I grabbed my mittens off of the coffee table and ran outside.
It was better than I could have ever imagined! There were thick layers of white covering the city. Icicles hung from snow covered tree branches. I turned and saw that the roof of my house had snow piled on top of it.
I smiled and made my way down to the park. When I got there I saw someone who stood out more than any of the surroundings. He was as pale as the snow itself, with pure white hair, that I was positive hadn't been dyed. He had a Shepard's crook in his hand, and a brown cloak on with a v-neckline beige shirt on underneath. He also had on tattered brown pants, but the thing that shocked me the most; he was barefoot.' Why doesn't he have any shoes on, especially in this weather?' I asked myself in disbelief. His appearance baffled me. He was too pale to be considered healthy. He had naturally white hair. With the way he was dressed, he didn't even look like he was from this century!
I slowly approached him." Um, excuse me sir... Are you alright?" I asked worriedly. He looked around to see if I was actually talking to him. He pointed to himself and looked at me incredulously." Me?" He questioned in a surprisingly deep voice. I nodded." Wait... You can see me?" He said in a shocked tone." Yes?" I said, though it came out as more of a question." You can hear me?" He asked in disbelief. I nodded again.
His cerulean eyes lit up and he flew around in triumph." She sees me! Someone actually sees me!" He shouted ecstatically. I looked at him in surprise. "Why wouldn't I?" I asked. He took a step towards me. Who do I look like to you?" He asked, a mischievous glint in his eyes. I took a closer look at him. Hair that was white as snow, pale skin, a Shepard's crook covered in frost... My eyes widened as I realized his identity." Jack Frost!" I shouted in disbelief. He smiled at me, revealing a set of glistening white teeth.
"The one and only."
