I am my body and my body is me,

But there is still a part that separates,

a part that dwells within.

It is the one holding all the reins,

Of where I truly belong,

Of who I really am.

So don't throw your version of realities at me,

Of how I should behave,

My body parts do not determine

What I should supposedly wear.

For he can flaunt his biceps

in a tight blue skirt and heels,

And she doesn't have to doll herself up,

If that's not who she is.

As long as we are content and happy,

Let it all just unfold.

For I am my body and my body is me,

But I am so much more.

Darling,

I am so much more.
