The Grey War

CHAPTER ONE

I wake up to my best friend bursting in my room I look at her with a puzzled look on my face.
    "Why are you waking me up this early?"
   laughing she turns on the light and crosses her arms.
   " you do plan on coming to school today don't you? Or did you forget that today was the first day of school this year?"
  I moan falling back on my pillow and pull the blanket over my face.
    "I don't wanna"
  She giggles and suddenly jumps on my bed and sits on top of me.
    "Oh you say that every year come on I'm not getting off until you agree to get up and come to school!"
    "Oh yea?" I peak out from under the blanket and smile. Her name is Mika Ren and we have been best friends since we were little kids. She lives next door to me with her mom. Her dad was killed when she was very little they still don't know what happened to him. She is 19 and is 5 feet 2 inches tall. I've had a big crush on her for years now but I'm too shy to say anything to her. She has dark brown puffy hair with light brown highlights going around one side. Her eyes are a captivating brown. She has tan skin and is wearing our mandatory school uniforms. It's a white button up shirt with a red bow around her neck, red and black checkered skirt and a red and white jacket. Her shoes are a very dark black with white and red knee high socks.
    "Hiraku.... Hiraku...... HIRAKUUUU!!!"
  I snap back to reality realizing I was spacing out.
    "Sorry. I lost track of my thoughts"
  I laugh and look at her. She is shaking her head.
    "I'm being serious!! I'm not moving until you agree that you are going to get ready for school"
  (I look at the way she is sitting and realize I can see her underwear. They are white with red lace along the edges.)
  I blush and look up at her. She is looking down at me and raises her first and socks me in my face and jumps down of the bed.
    " you pervert I'm going down stairs you better get ready for school or I'll kill you" she walks out the door slamming it behind her.
  I moan in pain as I get up and get ready for school. I put on my school uniform which consists of white pants, a white button up shirt with a red tie, A white and red jacket, and black shoes. I grab my backpack and look in the mirror to do my hair. My name is Hiraku Ichirou and I'm 18 years old. I'm 6 foot 3 inches tall I have dark brown hair I have light tan skin and green brown eyes.
  I head down stairs to find Mika leaning against the kitchen counter eating an Apple talking to my parents.
    "Ok Mika I'm ready let's get going"
    "Ok. Bye Mr and Miss Ichirou see you later" she walks out the door. I say bye to my parents grab an Apple and head out the door after her. We make our way to school. It's both our last year in high school and I'm happy. We both plan on going to collage for art after this year. We live in Tokyo Japan and it's the year 2025
  I look to Mika who is taking in all the surrounding. She turns to me and smiles. I look away and blush her smile always dose that to me.
    "Hey Mika?"
    "Yes what is it?"
    "Thank you for waking me up this morning. I really appreciate it ."
    She smiles again "no problem I am your best friend and I have to look out for you"
  I smile as we turn the corner and arrive at out school. We throw away what's left of our apples and had to get our classes. We get our classes and go to our lockers which are right next to each other.
    " I'll see you at lunch ok Hiraku?"
    "Ok see you then"
  She hugs me and kisses my cheek than runs of down the hall waving to me. I blush and touch my check and turn to head to my class. The usual first day of school process go's on as normal.
  School gets out and I met up with Mika at the front of the school.
    "Hey bestie are you ready to go home?"
    "No I have to stay to help with one of my clubs I'll meet up with you later Hiraku"
  I laugh "you are already helping out clubs?"
    "Yes I enjoy it so leave more alone" she playfully punches me in my chest.
    " Ok sorry " I smile "I'll see you later stop by my house I want to show you my new drawling.
    " Ok bye Hiraku "
    "Bye"

  I walk away twords my house. When I get their I feel like something is wrong. I open the door and call for my parents but I don't hear anything I try to turn on the lights but they wouldn't work. I start to get a little scared as I start walking towards their room slowly feeling along the wall. My fingers than touch something wet and sticky on the wall I pull my hand away and smell it.
    "Blood?" I whisper to my self in shock bursting into my parents room to find them both dead on the floor in a big puddle of crimson red blood and standing over them was some man in a all black suit. He looked at me and smiled blood dripping off of his hands. I tried to run but he somehow appeared behind me and grabbed me by my throat and and picked me up off the ground.
  His hand started glowing red and black feathered wings appeared on his back. The feathers were soft looking and his wings looked like a ravens. He slowly pushed his hand threw my chest. All I could think about was my parents and Mika if she arrives. Everything starts to go black than right as I'm about to pass out a sword covered in a pink glow pirces threw the man's chest and splats blood on my face.
  He roars in pain and drops me as he burst into dust. I look up and see the blurred image of a girl holding a katana than everything goes black as the pain in my chest intensifies.
