I jolted up, my heart racing. I was laying on a cold, metal floor, with sweat dripping down my body.
"Where am I?", I thought to myself. The darkness was so thick I couldn't even see straight in front of me. I could feel myself moving upwards, but I had no idea where I was going. I stood up from the ground and put my hands in front of me for a guide. I started walking forward, stumbling a little on the way. Suddenly, my head hit a hard wall, which will probably give a bruise later. It had a bumpy texture, something that reminded me of chicken wire. A cage. "Crap," I said out loud, "this is definitely not the way out." I put my hand on my forehead to see a knot is already forming, but all I can think about is where I am.
Then I realized, I don't even know who I am. I don't even know my own freaking name. Do I have friends?? Do I have a family!? Where am I from?! I tried so hard to remember that I probably popped a blood vessel or a vein. "Perfect. It will match my bruise." I thought to myself, giggling. But this is no time for jokes. I remember learning to ride a bike, but not who taught me. I remember eating strawberry ice cream, but not who I ate it with.
"Is anyone here!!!???" I screamed at the top of my lungs, only to receive no answer. "Hello?!?!" No reply. How long have a been in here?? A couple minutes, hours, DAYS??? I need to get out of here. I was walking around the room with my hand on the wall, and there was definitely no exit. "If only I had a flashlight."
My hand suddenly ran over things I thought were boxes. There has to be a flashlight in here. I finally found the opening to the first box, but it only contained a rope, pencil, paper, and underwear. I won't even wonder why that was in there. I opened the second box. Apples, bananas, peaches, and other fruit I had never seen. Well I have probably seen them, I just can't remember. I opened the third box. Batteries and.... Flashlights!! I put the batteries in the flashlight and turned it on. The walls were rust-covered metal, in a criss cross formation. The ceiling and ground was the same way. There were around 5 stacked boxes in each corner, containing different kinds of supplies I'm assuming. I found a hairbrush in one box, and it made me realize, what do I look like?!?! My hair was dark brown and shoulder length, but matted together with sweat. I was fairly tan, but my skin was covered in dirt. I was wearing a lime green tank top with white shorts, but I was barefooted, with cuts all up my whole body. I am terrified. I don't know where I am, and I don't know who I am. But I wasn't losing hope. I ran up to one of the walls and starting beating on it as hard as I could.
"Help me!!" I screamed, "Anybody!!! Please!! I'm trapped in here all alone!! Save me!!" But there was no answer. I was hoping the 'all alone' part of that yelling was just an assumption, but I was definitely all alone. I sat down in one of the corners with my back resting on one of the partially ripped open boxes. I looked around the room one more time, until my eyes started to slowly close, falling asleep.

30 minutes later......
~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*
My eyes open, being blinded by a bright white light. I used my elbow to shield out the brightness, but it didn't work that well. The clanging of metal made me put down my arm to see tons of people looking down at me. Now I'm really worried. Where even am I?! A boy with blondish-brown hair jumped down into this box thing, making the whole area, including me, shake. His eyebrows were pointing downward, giving me a not-so-nice looking glare.
"What are you looking at??" I wanted to say, but I just kept that to myself.
Suddenly, everyone got quiet and the silence was killing me.
"What do you see down there Newt?"
"Is the greenie as ugly as last months?"
"Say something!!"
What is everyone talking about? Who is Newt? What is a greenie?? I've never been more confused. I literally woke up in a cold, metal box with no memory. Cut me some slack.
"Names Newt," the boy in the box whispered, "and I think you need a haircut." He was stick thin with rosy cheeks. And, he had a very different accent. Well, at least different than mine, if I even have one.
"As unbelievable as it is, I'm a girl, stupid." I said putting as much sarcasm in my voice as possible. How oblivious can people be??
"No kidding." Newt said mocking my tone. Newt looked up at the people above me, "It's a girl."
