Act 1 Scene 2

Becky joins the chat.

Becky's Mom joins the chat.

Becky's Dad joins the chat.

Author joins the chat.

Author: Now for scene 2 of this very exciting episode of WordGirl!

Becky walks in.

Becky: Hey, mom. Hey, dad.

Becky's Dad: Hey.

Becky's Mom: Hey, how'd it go.

Becky: Fine.

Becky starts to walk into the kitchen.

Becky's Mom jumps up and follows her.

Author: She sits Becky down at the table.

Becky's Mom: So, he was better than you thought.

Becky: Ummmmm.

Becky's Dad walks in behind Becky's Mom.

Becky's Dad: Sally!

Becky's Mom looks around.

Becky's Dad: Leave her alone. Let her have a while before you pile her with questions.

Becky's Mom gives her husband a death look.

Becky's Dad raises his eyebrow at her.

Becky's Mom: Fine. Becky.

Becky looks up.

Becky's Mom: Go to your room, I wanna talk to your father.

Becky walks up the stairs to her room as she hears her parent arguing  in the room behind her.

Becky: I wish they wouldn't fight so much.

Author: Becky walks in her room and  slumps down on her bed and starts to cry.

Becky hears something hit her window.

Becky gets out of bed and looks out the window and sees Toby throwing pebbles at it.

Becky smiles and opens the window.

Becky: What are you doing here?

Toby: I heard something and want to make sure you were okay.

Becky blushes and then her face turns to worry.

Becky: What did you here?

Toby sounding worried because of her face.

Toby: Just some yelling. What was it about?

Becky: Ohhhhhhh...

Becky: It was...

Becky: It was...

Becky: It was Bob. He broke something and my parents got mad at him.

Becky lied.

Toby is not fooled.

Toby: Really? Then I'll just go home then. Bye.

Toby starts to walk away.
