Before I even reach the outdoor arena, I hear the screams. Most nine year olds have never shifted in their life. I only learned how to a few months ago and trust me it is something I will never forget. I push open the door and watch most kids lying on the floor panting. Two or three of the kids that were raised here are already morphed and are training in private.

"You're late." A man yells at me from across the field.

"I was talking to Kaine." I yell back the lie slipping easily. The man stares down at his watch and shrugs. A trainer comes over to me and orders me to the ground.

"Shift." This time I'm ready. I embrace the pain instead of fighting it. We go through a series of obsticals including attacking a man with some sort of fabric covering him. By the time I'm done, I'm sweating and panting, the man with the cold harsh eyes comes out. Kaine. He walks swiftly over to me and motions for the trainer to leave. By now I'm sitting under a massive oak tree, trying to catch by breath. Kiera and a boy soon trail him. I realize it's Zac when he gets closer.
