Putting on your apron you sighed, another long night shift was ahead of you didn't feel like a night of dealing with drunks and being hit on. Working in a bar wasn't you ideal choice of career, but recently you'd had issues finding any jobs whatsoever. This was just a way of getting by for however long it took. As you were cleaning glasses, you noticed a man enter, he wore a long trench coat, blue tie and had scuffy short hair, never seen him before, you thought.

One of the bar staff was ill, and you'd been making and serving drinks as well as taking orders.

You approached the man to ask for his order.

"What can I get for you?"

He raised his head and looked in your direction revealing his piercing blue eyes.

"Oh, hello. I'm not quite sure, feeling a little different, new body, new tastes. Even new fashion. I mean look at this coat, who even wears trench coats anymore?" He lifted his coat up and looked at it in slight disgust.

You processed his words and let out a slight giggle, he seemed odd but you figured he was probably quite drunk, you repeated yourself.

"So, what can I get for you?"

He glanced at the menu and then looked at you straight in the eyes.

"Ill have.. Hmm a jager bomb, sounds interesting"

"Sure thing, anything else?" You scribbled down his drink and waited for a reply.

"Nothing else thanks." You saw him smile, it was infectious, and you couldn't help but smile back.

You walked over the bar, taking two other orders, out of the corner of your eye you could see the trenchcoated guy watching your every move.

He was a few years older than you, maybe 5 or 6, and you couldn't help but feel like there was something different about him. He didn't seem like your average drunk.

Just after making his drink, your boss asked you to come in the back to talk. You placed it on the side, and walked through the door. This couldn't be good.

"You missed an entire shift, with an hours notice? We need people (Y/N) were short staffed as it is. An hour isn't long enough to get someone else in."

"I-"

"no excuses, I need you here. What do you think I pay you for?"

"But my-"

"I said no excuses" He raised his voice and you knew most of the bar could probably hear the argument.

"Can you let me speak for a moment?" You paused. "And stop being a Dick!".

Oops. Maybe that wasn't the best idea.

He took a breath. "You're fired". His voice was stern and your heart sunk, you needed this job. Your jaw dropped.

"Look, I'm sorry I just.. My sister needed to go out and she couldn't get a babysitter".

"I don't appreciate my employees talking to me like that, now go"

"Please! I'm sorry. It was one shift. Plenty of people miss one shift, come on."

He grabbed your jacket from the coat rack and threw it in your direction. You caught it and just as you turned to walk back into the bar, the trench coat guy burst through the door, and swung a punch at your boss. You gasped in shock, as he went hurtling towards a wall. Wow, strong guy.

"No one should be that mean, especially not to a woman like you", he grabbed your hand, his was oddly cold to the touch, and lead you through the bar, outside and around the corner. You laughed, you couldn't believe someone you barely knew would do that for you.

"I don't know what to say, thank you. No one's ever done anything like that for me" You said, still holding his hand.

He let go.

"The names Lu-, I mean Cas".

"Wow mucking up your own name, what a way to introduce yourself. I'm (Y/N)." You giggled. As did he.

"Well it's very nice to meet you (Y/N), and that in there was nothing, compared to my normal days"

"Nothing? What do you do? Must be pretty dangerous if it's worse than that". You were keen to keep talking to him.

"Erm, that's a hard question to answer". He dropped his head a little.

"It's fine you don't have to tell me". You smiled, hoping to make him feel a bit better.

"Lets not talk about me and you, lets talk about us".

He put his icy hand on your cheek, and placed his lips on yours. You embraced the kiss and after a few seconds pulled away.

Looking into each other's eyes, you both smiled. You took a deep breath.

"I wasn't expecting that".

"But did you like it?", there was a devilish glare in his stare.

"Yes".

He pulled his arms from his trench coat, it fell to the floor and he came closer, grabbing your wrists and pinning them against the brick wall of the building behind you. Your lips collided and for moment you forgot about everything.

"Thank you" you muttered breathlessly.

"Anything for you sweetheart".
