Weird things happen everyday, apparently. At least, to me. Weird things have happened to me all my life, every single day. And when I finally thought one day, just one, would go perfectly ordinary like everyone else's day would, it turned out to be, well, the strangest one ever.
But let's just get back to the root of this.. happening.
It was at school, after school actually, when I saw someone pacing on front of the principal's office with this worried, impatient look on his face.
Tim nudged me saying that we needed to get going. I nodded, tearing my eyes away from the person,
As I walked away, I felt someone's eyes on me.
By the time we were all hanging out in the mall, like we almost always do, me, Tim, and Tarynn, my girlfriend, I had managed to convince myself that no, the person I saw wasn't a ghost, nor was he some sort of stalker. Just a perfectly normal person waiting his turn at the Principal's office.
I shouldn't have jinxed it.
We were in the food court, Tim saying something about the weird guy back at school that kept staring at Sean'. Tarynn looked at me, curiously, "Did you know him, Sean?"
At first, I was confused. Tarynn was the girl who got perfect marks in English. Surely she would know that the correct word would be 'do', instead of 'did', but I overlooked it, "no, I've never seen him before in my life."
"Maybe he's gay," Tim said, "and he liked you."
I grimaced, "ew, dude, no. And I thought you knew Tarynn and I are dating,"
He shrugged, "just saying."
And I just rolled my eyes, turned away from them for a second when I saw him pass by.
He was maybe a few inches taller than me, with spiked black hair, trudging somehow miserably after a taller man. The other person looked at him, whispered something, and the boy glanced at me, eyes widening, before hurrying away.
I didn't take my eyes off him. It made me curious, why he glanced at me, looking somewhat scared, before running off with newfound energy.
Tim nudged me, "dude, that's the guy, isn't it? I think he's following you, dude. It's weirding me out."
"I doubt it,"
"Are you sure you didn't know him Sean?" Tarynn prodded, I shook my head.
"Yeah," I mumbled, "I'm pretty sure."

I know, it's not as strange as I made it out to be, well maybe it is, but that wasn't even the start of it. Well, technically, it was, but not the strangest part.
At one point I had to go to the restroom, like all people. I saw him then, when I had finished and was already exiting the cubicle. He was all alone, washing his hands. I awkwardly approached the sink next to him, about to wash my hands too.
No words were spoken. You wouldn't expect us to talk to complete strangers. But it was.. awkward, as if there was something about it that wasn't right.
I finished washing my hands, approaching one of the two hand driers. Then he said, "hey,"
I stopped, glanced at him, but didn't respond. He sent me a small grin, "this is how you dry your hands twice as fast."
I didn't talk, didn't move as he walked nearer, before standing in the midst of the two air dryers. He clapped his hands before putting them under both of the hand driers.
When he finished he smiled at me, "Do you remember that, Sean?"
I took a step back in horror, shock, I'm not exactly sure.
"who are you? How do you know my name?"
He looked hurt.
"You know me, Sean," he said, "I know you do."
N: Tim is so right 😂😂
