*Chapter 1* - Sisters.
The songs blared into Ursula's ears as she shut the outside world. She sang along to the one playing. Iris stomped towards her.
"Ursula!" she pulled the headphones away.
"Hey!" Ursula leapt at her headphones as they flew away. "What's your problem!? That was my favorite song!"
She patted her headphones like it were a baby and gave Iris a glare.
"As far as I have counted, you have 101 songs on your mobile and your favorites are 102. Put that away now!" Iris snatched everything from her hands and put them inside her bag.
"NO!" Ursula jumped off the bed towards the bag but was too late.
Iris quickly threw it on top of the cupboard. Ursula snarled at her 5'7" tall sister. Iris smirked and pulled out a dress from inside the cupboard. "Wear that. Go."
It wasn't a request or suggestion, it was a command. Ursula glared. "Not until you give me that bag."
She looked up at the bag that lay on top of the cupboard, out of reach. She was a mere 4'8" tall and had all the troubles in the world that a short person could possibly have. Iris sighed at her little sister.
"Take it if you want. I won't stop you." she giggled as she dropped the dress on the bed and walked out of the room.
Ursula sighed and changed. "This doesn't mean I'm coming with you, just so you know!" she shouted out the door as she fixed the strap of her dress.
It was so unlike how she liked it. Deep neck, above thighs, just a strap for a proper sleeve, were all a no-no for her. She looked back at the bed where her comfortable T-shirt and tracks lay. She could do with a run right now,she thought. With a determined breath she pulled away the dress she wore and pulled on a pair of jeans.
Looking in the cupboard, she found a nice checked blue shirt that she wore un-buttoned on a black slip. She combed her hair straight down, which wasn't difficult for it always stayed straight. Something she took high pride in, for Iris's hair was always messy.
She pulled a thin line of kohl along the lower lids of her eyes and dabbed some bee-wax lip balm that Iris had bought her on her lips. She smiled at her appearance and walked out. Iris sat there in all her glory. One leg over the other, wearing a short if not non-existent shorts and a crop top.
This girl is going to freeze to death. Ursula thought as she smiled at Iris.
Iris looked up from her mobile and her jaw fell. "What.Are. You. Wearing!" she said as she got up slowly, as though calming herself down.
"Here's the deal." Ursula began before Iris could push her into the dress herself. "I get to dress up like this and you can take me to the party. If you make me wear that piece of napkin, I'll not come with you. And you know I am capable of it."
Iris let out a sigh. "Fine!"
Ursula smirked as she pulled the chair out and dragged it to her room. She felt Iris shake her head in dismissal behind her. Climbing onto it, she got out the bag from the top of the wardrobe. Pulling out her phone and headphones, she stopped the song that was currently playing. Hanging the headphones around her neck she put the phone into her jeans pocket.
She grabbed her wallet that lay on the table and stepped out into the cold night air with Iris. Looking at her sister, she couldn't believe how she was able to stand straight without shivering.
Of course, she was wearing a jacket but what about her legs? she thought.
But in the end, rolling her eyes, she decided to simply wait for the taxi with her sister.
