Chapter Five

Nick, Chloe, and Paige ate pizza that night.

"I love you Nick." Chloe said.

He picked her up and put her on his lap and rubbed her back.

"I love you, I mean it." She whispered.

She slowly kissed his lips and pulled away. He grabbed her and pulled her in for another kiss.

Nick walked home.

"Those were the eyes of a cheater." Chloe said.

"Totally."

Chloe sighed and gave Paige a hug. They drove her home.

In the morning Chloe got up and changed into a white and pink striped tank top, a pair of white cut-off shorts, and her pink Mary Jane flats.

She got on the bus. She ignored Nick's attempts to talk or kiss her.

Finally he said,

"What's your problem?"

"You!" She yelled.

"Why?"

"Your a cheater! I know about you and Maddie. Yes I know, it's always been about Maddie! Maddie this, Maddie that! Well I'm done. It's over!" She screamed.

Chloe ran to the bathroom and let tears flow out. She heard someone come in.

"Chloe?"

"Paige?"

"Yeah."

"What?"

"Please come out."

"No."

"Why not."

"Cause I said so!"

"Please."

"No."

Paige's footsteps slowly faded away as Paige left the bathroom.

Chloe slowly came out of the stall and pulled out her makeup bag. She slowly reapplied her make up and went to class.

In the hall way she ran into Brandon.

"Hey." He mumbeled.

"Hey."

"I heard about you and Nick."

"Oh."

"I'm so sorry."

"Oh don't be."

"So listen, can I come over later?"

"Sure..."

"Ok, bye."

"Bye."

Brandon came over and helped Chloe practice for dance.

"You know I could help you practice kissing too." He said.

"Really?"

"Yes."

He grabbed her waist and they started to make out, passionately.

He gave her one last kiss and went home.
