"Hello--- can you he-- ar me?" I weakly murmured into the communicator device, praying for it to be a real signal. I've been trying for days.
"Hello? Who is this?" The man on the other end replied. My heart stopped.
"You're on earth-- right? Like, a real person?!" I asked, my eyes watering up and my hands shaking. Help, help! I've found help!
"Uhh... Yeah? Who is this?" He asked, sounding as relaxed as could be.
I cleared my throat, "Cadet Kenneth McCormick, from the Onira."
"You mean that space ship that crashed like... 5 days ago?" He questioned, with a tone that seemed like he thought I was joking.
"Yes! I've been trying to contact someone, I managed to survive the wreck, I need help. I'm somewhere in the 6th sector, I think that's what it's called, on some tiny moon, or maybe a dead star? I'm not sure... But it's a very bold blue.." I replied.
"I'll contact the police and see if they can do anything, I'll try to help everyone find you. I'll keep you company while us here try to help you out there. I'm Stan Marsh, it's good to meet you, I wish it just wasn't in these circumstances." I heard him moving keys, he must be driving to the police station to tell them about me.
My heart was beating out of my chest, I feel so sick, I can't believe this...
"So, where are you? Like, what can you see?" He asked, the sound of a coat being put on muffling his speaking a bit.
"Uhh, there's a big rocky cave looking thing, about a mile away? Maybe? I'm not good with distance.. And uh, I'm near the wreck, and to the south there's a large peak, not as far away, but I don't see any Access point, I think it's just a mountain, it is pretty rocky here. Uh, where do you think I should go?" I asked timidly, clipping the communicator to my chest.
"Get plenty of supplies from the ship, whatever you can get. Then I think we should head for that cave, okay?" Stan mentioned.
"Yeah, yeah... Okay! I'll contact you in a bit!"
