Percy POV:

It's been four years since Annabeth and I admitted our love for each other and got together. Since then, our relationship has blossomed and we're closer than ever. Currently, we're both now at collage now, Annabeth studying architecture and myself doing Marine Biology. My dad owns Poseidon's Atlantic Aquarium, and he wants to pass down the ownership rights to me.

Usually, when you read stories about parents handing down the business to their children, the children don't want to own it and decide to go their own way. But me? I love working with sea creatures. I'm already planning some 'Save The Fish' days at the aquarium, and my dad got Annabeth to help me create a new exhibit for some sharks.

A lot has happened in the past few years. Rachel is off studying Art abroad, Thalia is now a P.E teacher at our old high school Goode, and Grover is away most of the time doing 'Protect The Wilderness' rallies with his family. Annabeth and I have made a few more friends, and a few months ago we moved in together.

Today, we're picking up Rachel from the airport. She's taking a break from studying Art and coming to stay with us. Both Annabeth and I are really excited to see her, as it's been nearly a year.

"Percy! Can you pass me that measuring cup?" Annabeth says, pointing to the cup that's sitting beside my elbow as I lean against the kitchen bench. I toss it to her and she catches it, then turns back to her mixing.

"Can we put some blue food colouring in the mixture?" I ask. Blue pancakes are a tradition in the Blofis household - my mom's place. She and my dad broke up a year after I was born. My mom is now married to Paul Blofis, and I used to live with them every second week - now Annabeth and I visit them once a month or so.

"No, Percy." Annabeth snaps as she measures out a cup of milk. "Remember what I told you: all that blue food colouring will kill you. It's bad for you, which is why we only use it on special occasions."

"Fine," I sigh.

"Can you put the maple syrup and the jam out on the table for me? Oh, and setting it would be nice too."

I walk over to the drawers and take out two sets of cutlery and two plates. Then I go back out and take some table mats and put them down with the cutlery and plates. I walk back into our small apartment kitchen and take out the syrup and some strawberry jam.

"Can we at least have Nutella?" I ask.

"Alright," Annabeth says as she flips a pancake with a spatula.

"Can I flip the next one?"

"No, Seaweed Brain. Remember what happened last time?" She turns to face me as I come back from putting the stuff on the table. I place my hands on her waist and she wraps her around my body. "The pancakes went on the ceiling." She mumbles into my chest.

I lean down and kiss her. "But that was fun!" I give her puppy eyes and she wrenches out of my grasp and turns back to the pancakes.

"You can have some blueberries on your pancakes if you want. Oh, and some yoghurt too."

"Thanks, Wise Girl."
