-Flashback to 2006:
"Mom, please don't go" I cried in her hospital room as she slowly started slipping away. She reached up and wiped a tear away from my eye and smiled.
"Baby, I'll never leave you. I'm always going to be right here" she said, putting her hand on my heart. "I love you so much Ari"
"I love you too mommy" I said, wiping my tears away as they stopped flowing. She held my hand, and just like that she was gone.
I didn't go to school for weeks. My heartache was so much to bear that I couldn't focus. People staring at me with sad expressions as I walked the hallways made my situation so much worse. My teachers gave me a special treatment like "oh sweetie you don't have to do this assignment if you don't feel like it" or my all time favorite one "if you just want to go to the bathroom for a few minutes and clean yourself up, that's okay with me" and I would just smile sweetly and deny. I was 9 years old, like I didn't need to 'clean myself up' and I wanted to do the assignment because the last I wanted is to be more behind than I already was. Eventually my sadness was partly replaces with happiness because my mom was no longer in pain. She was in Heaven with the Angels and she was at peace.
