"Hey, did you hear about that new student?" A male whispered to his friend. "I heard she's really hot!" He added. "Woah! No way, I can't wait to see her!" His friend replied. The excitement in their voices confused Kageyama. It didn't concern them so why did they even care? He kept walking down the hall, only to catch a small glimpse of familiar h/c hair.

Later throughout the day Kageyama kept hearing about this new student.

"I heard she plays lots of sports." A girl whispered. "Really? I heard that she used to fight in gangs." Another added. "What are you talking about? Someone else said that she rejects every boy that asks her out because she's dense when it come to love." The group of girls broke into small laughter, continuing their small talk.

"What's so special about this girl anyways?" Kageyama questioned.

Kageyama suddenly remembered his childhood friend. She was always there for him, every since they were little. Their parents had met each other when the L/N family moved in. Kageyama's family was the first to greet the other family and welcome them in. Their daughter was shy at first, but quickly warmed up to the young boy. They went to the same schools, they hung out after school, their families visited each other often. They were very close. She always supported him even when his volleyball team didn't. She was always there for him, through thick and thin. He remembered how many confessions she would receive in middle school, but she never recognized their feeling and flat out rejected them. She was always by his side, until that day,

The day they won their volleyball game against a small team, Yukigaoka Junior high school, the h/c brought shocking news to Kageyama.

She was always in a good mood, but it seemed as if she was drained of any emotion. She seemed reluctant to talk to Kageyama, and he didn't waste any time to question her about it.

Her eyes filled with tears and she let out the words that left him in loneliness: "I'm leaving Japan."

The next day she was gone, and they lost contact with each other. Kageyama had hoped she would return but it seemed like she never would.

Kageyama wondered why he thought of such a memory at this time, letting out a sigh he focused on something else.

In another hall Kiyoko and a h/c haired girl talked, "Would you like to be a manager for the boys volleyball team?" Kiyoko asked. Without hesitation the other girl let out a simple, "Sure."

Class ended quickly and soon came volleyball practice. Recently, everyone on the team put so much effort into getting better, even the annoying Tsukishima got better. Kageyama noticed this all and also put effort into getting better.

"Hey, Ryuu, have you seen the new student?" Nishinoya asked. Tanaka looked confused and shook his head. "Even them." Kageyama sighed.

"KIYOKO-SAN!!" The duo ran to the beautiful manager as she stepped inside the gym. At the last minute they were stopped by Daichi and Sugawara. Kiyoko let out a sigh of relief and went with Coach Ukai and Takeda-sensei to talk about the new addition. As they conversed with one another, Nishinoya and Tanaka admired Kiyoko from a distance.

Coach Ukai clapped his hand to get the teams attention and told them to gather up. Once they did they announced that they would have a new member joining them. Kiyoko went to the doors and whispered, "You can come in now."

Rights behind her stood a h/c haired girl with e/c eyes. The new girl bowed, "Nice to meet you." Nishinoya and Tanaka started to blush and screamed out, "Woaaah! Is this the new girl?! She's so pretty!!!"

Kiyoko smiled a bit, "This is L/N Y/N. She will also be this team's manager from now on."

Kageyama thought for a bit, l/n y/n, the name seemed really familiar. Your eyes looked at every boy, taking in every detail of each person, your eyes fell upon one certain person. You remembered that dark hair and that rough face, "Woah! Tobio, it really is you!" You ran up to him and gave him a punch in the arm along with a tight hug. "Y-Y/N! I t-thought you left?" The confusion in his voice made you laugh, you were happy, you had found your best friend after all the time you were gone, "I came back last month, I'm so glad I decided to come to this school." You said with a fake sigh and you pretended to wipe off sweat from you forehead.

"Kageyama knows such a beautiful girl?!" Tanaka and Nishinoya questioned in shock. Off to the side Tsukishima and Yamaguchi stood awkwardly, "Looks like the king found his girlfriend." Tsukishima commented. In another side, the proud parents of the volleyball team felt happy for the reunion of their setter and his friend. Hinata stood dumbfounded, "Wuaah, Kageyama has a girlfriend!"

Your head tilted to the side, "Girlfriend? Since when did Kageyama get a girlfriend?" Kageyama looked pissed but his face still turned into a bright red as he yelled at the smaller boy "Hinata, you dumbass!"

But in his head he kept thinking, "Finally. She's back."
