Time flies

I woke up to my alarm blaring and I rolled out of my bed with a grunt. I looked up at the clock and groaned. 4:30 am. My head hit the floor and I yelped at the searing agony gliding behind my skull in front of the frontal lobe in my brain. I slammed my hand down on my alarm. I rolled over and grunted once more before crawling to my knees. I stood with my back cracking like crazy and I stretched with a small mewling sound. I went and got into my uniform before saying goodbye to my empty apartment. I walk to Seirin because my house is not far from the school. I had to duck under the sakura blooms because of my large height. Despite being tall, I seemed to never be seen. I sighed and pulled my headphones on my head and blared music. I walked through the front gates and stared at the crowded stalls. Wandering around, looking for a map, I accidentally bump into someone and apologize despite them probably not knowing. I somehow managed to find the basketball stand and wrote down an application for helping the coach.

Walking away, I accidentally bump into someone a little shorter than me and I look down to apologize. A head of light blue hair faced me and the person lifted their face. "Kuro-kun!" I gasped as his eyes widened. "Akiyama-san?" I nod vigorously. "Please call me Miyuki though." He nods. "Alright Miyuki-san." I smiled and looked at my watch. "Shūto!" I yelped. "I have to go Kuro-kun! It's good to see you again!" I called out to him before taking off to my first class. Well, technically not class, it's more of a recital. Kind of. I promised I would play for the music teacher. He said if I do well in his eyes, he would consider taking me to his friend, the famous musician Akira Takasaki! I pump my fist in the air and walk into the music room only to find it empty. "Am I late?" I ask to myself.

I walked to the stage and pulled my guitar off my back. I opened the hardcover case and pulled out my matte black acoustic. Standing in front of the microphone, I decided to warm up with My Song from Angel Beats! and I started strumming the chords before opening my mouth to sing.

Demo asu he to susumanakya naranai

Dakara kou utau yo

Naiteru kimi koso kodoku na kimi koso

Tadashii yo ningenrashii yo

I took notice of people filing into the corridor, but didn't pay any heed to what was actually happening. Girls were gossiping, so I didn't bother to pay attention.

Otoshita namida ga kou iu yo

Konna ni mo utsukushii uso ja nai hontou no bokura wo arigatou

Kanaetai yume ya todokanai yume ga aru koto

Sore jitai ga yume ni nari kibou ni nari hito ha ikite ikeru n daro

Kujiketa kimi ni ha mou ichido tatakaeru tsuyosa to jishin to kono uta wo

Otoshita namida ga kou iu yo

Konna ni mo yogorete minikui sekai de deaeta kiseki ni arigatou

As I finished, everyone in the room was clapping. I knew they couldn't see me, but it was nice to have some gratitude over something. I smiled slightly at the string on my guitar. I slid my hands to the cover and closed the lid gently before standing, grabbing the case and making my way off stage.

Time sure does fly by.
