In a recent meeting with defense industry, the Army's Senior Intelligence Officer, provided a description of the type of innovation the Army Intelligence Corps was looking forward to as it seeks to better integrate its growing constellation of sensing capabilities.
"Now and in the future," Legere explained, "intelligence staffs at the tactical and operational level will need self-synchronized and autonomous awareness across a wide range of sensors, including everything from tactical ground systems, to aerial/space and cyber platforms, to non-traditional sensing from human based assets.' Integrating this tsunami of sensing, the internet of things, or the internet of things that sense will be a prodigious integration challenge, and one that all of us must think about as we are designing new or adapting existing systems to be more synergistically aware."
