Bill was someone who knew how to persuade. To manipulate. He knew he had the upper hand, that this lone pine tree would never be able to stop him, even if he didn't fulfill his side of the bargain. He never did.

"Fine! Just one puppet!"

Bill didn't have a mouth but he somehow pulled off a smug grin. Dipper glared at him.

"So which puppet are you going to choose?" He asked.

"Hmm, let's see. Eenie meenie mynie... YOU" Dipper's mouth fell off his face, utterly slack jawed. He felt as if he was playing tug-of-war against the whole grade. A very one-sided battle. Every ounce of muscle in his body ached in futile resistance. Bill had won this battle but the war was far from over.
