I poured my burden out to him.
He eagerly yet silently pooled it
Together in his hands,
And immersed himself.

When I had run dry,
All he had to do, all he did
Was simply whisper.
Yet completely redirect the waves.

And they obeyed.
The waves turned to where I needed.
But also to where I had to learn,
Learn to accept gaps in the ocean.

The gaps are deep in the ocean.
Some fight the thing that has sunk in them.
But in the end,
We learn to wade around them.
