I wait curiously for him to answer. He says,
"You choose."
I retort, " I should have known what your answer was! 'You choose' all time! Do you say anything other than that?!" I am deep down inside dissatisfied and disappointed with his answer. Beside me, my best friend Sid just stares fascinated at him.
"You choose."

When we finally reach my block (Songbird block) I realise how much I hate when people say that Sid and I can't stay without each other ( "Joint at the hip, they are."), but it's true. We always have each other's backs.
"Netflix and chill over at Eva's, huh?" My neighbor yells from next door.
I roll my eyes.
Sid doesn't bother to even shake his head this time.
"Don't you have the keys?" I ask, diverting our minds from society's silly thoughts.
"Right here."
As he fumbles to open the door, we hear glass breaking and heavy footsteps.
I live alone.
