03 / Take Me Home

Start from the beginning

"Thanks." I tell him.

"Off you go, Harper!" He says, gently pushing me away from the register.

Melanie enters the shop just before I head out.

"Where are you going?" She asks and I waved at her, signaling that I was in a hurry.

"To some lazy ass customer!"

"What even are these houses." I mutter in shock as I walked along humongous houses.

I wonder if Alexander's house is as huge as this, because wow.

I never really had a reason to step foot in his house. Cassie of course, basically lives there already.

When I arrived, my jaw nearly drops.

"Damn." I clicked my tongue and walked to the gate. The house' color theme was monotone, white and grey.

I pressed the button. "Uh..I'm from Candy Caffeine, brought your coffee." I spoke.

The gate makes a series of clicks and slides open.

"Wow. Okay then." I said to myself as I made my way to the front door.

There was another doorbell, so I rang it.

A few moments has passed and there's still no answer.

"Hello?" I yell through the door.

Getting impatient, I pressed the doorbell again and again.

Still, no one answers to the door. I look at the cup tray I was holding.

If I leave it outside, it gonna get cold.

I rang the doorbell again. "Heeelloooooooooo?" I impatiently pressed the button.

I groaned.

I heaved an annoyed sigh as my eyes caught sight of the door knob.

I shook my head. "You could get sued for trespassing, Harper." I told myself.

"Your coffee's gonna be cold!" I yelled, ringing the doorbell again.

"Fuck trespassing!" I cursed, getting a firm grasp of the door knob.

"Jesus Christ!" I jumped when the door suddenly swings open, and more even at the sight in front of me.

He was only in his sweatpants, he had dark, short, and curly hair.

Man, o man, that hot bod. I thought to myself.

"It's Clark Hunt, but close enough. Thanks for the compliment." He yawns, taking the tray from my hold.

He looks at me for a moment.

"Harper." He says my name.

"Uh..." I wanted to respond but I'm not sure how to. "How did you know my name?" I asked.

"As in the Harper?" He asks, his eyes finally looking away now.

His eyes were almond brown.

"I don't know about you, but i'm pretty sure there are other Harpers in New York." I raised my eyebrow confusingly.

"Right. Then did you happen meet a platinum haired douche and kneed him on the groin four years ago?" He asks amusingly.

"Alexander?" I asked, quite taken aback.

"Your nametag says Harper." He beams, pushing the door wide open. "Please, join me for coffee."
