Kath’s POV
A week passed after my meeting with Daniel. Nakabalik na ako sa Australia. I still haven’t heard anything from him. Tagal naman nun magdesisyon. Don’t tell me kaya niya pang tanggihan ang ganung klaseng offer.
We gave him the best offer. Ang tanga niya na lang kung tanggihan niya pa yun.
“Mommy, mommy, look.” Chichay approached me as she handed me a drawing.
“Woooow. That’s so beautiful naman. Galing galing naman ng baby ko.” I kissed her on her cheeks. It was a drawing of a family. Human sticks lang ang figure pero ang ganda. I really think may talent siya sa pag draw. Sa akin siguro siya nagmana. Nakita ko naman kasi ang mga drawing ni Daniel dati, jusko! Mukhang drawing ng 3 years old. Mas maganda pa nga siguro drawing ni Chichay sa kanya ehh.
“This is Grandma. *turo sa stick figure na woman* This is Grandpa. *turo sa stick figure na lalake* This is you mom *turo sa stick figure na maganda siyempre HAHAHA* This is Tito Quen. *turo sa gwapo rin siyempre* and finally, this is me.” She pointed out full of joy.
I smiled at her. Lord, thank you for bringing this wonderful daughter in this world. :”))
“Mommy will keep this huh?” She nodded and smiled as I put the drawing in my bag.
“Mommy, when can we go to the Philippines and visit Lola and Lolo?” Sila mama at papa ang tinutukoy niya. Yung nag ampon sa akin. Siyempre pinakilala ko naman sila kay Chichay. Nag-sponsor kasi kami sa kanila at pinapunta namin sila dito sa Australia last last year kaso ayaw nila dito mag stay. Ubos na daw dugo nila sa ilong. HAHAHA.
Kaya ayun, cellphone lang muna ang communication namin. Miss na miss ko na nga sila ehh. Pero I know that malapit ko na rin silang makita…
“Someday, anak… Someday.” We smiled at each other as I rub her chin. “Now, go and draw more like that, okay? Mommy will go to work na.” I grab my bag from the table and hugged her. “Bye baby. See you later.”
“Mkay. Bye mom.” She smiled and from that smile… My world lightens up.
