Dragon Shifter 2

CHAPTER 1: The Invaders

                       Kara's P.O.V.

              This is Berk. It needs a few fixing from the Bewilderbeast, Rat. There is ice everywhere and some houses are crushed. I'm helping my dad repair the damage. We've been working on this damage for a couple of years now, and we are almost done perfecting it. I'm sixteen going on seventeen. Hard to believe, right?
              I carried some wood to dad who was gonna use them to finish up the house. He grabbed them from me.
            "Thanks for your help, Kara." He said with a smile and finished up that last house.
            "Finally! We fixed Berk!" I exclaimed with a cheerful yell.
My dad chuckled.
            Storm Fly landed by us, and my mom slid off of her. "I helped repair all the other houses, so they're all good!" My mom walked up to Hiccup and pecked him on the cheek.
            "That's good, honey." He said with a smile and turned his head to glance at me. "You did well, Kara." He ruffled my hair, and I chuckled.
Slim and his two friends chuckled behind a bush. He threw a tomato at me, and it splattered on my shoulder. I jerked my head at that direction but didn't see him or his two friends. I heard a chuckle and grew suspicious.
"Shhhhhhhh..." Slim whispered with his finger to his mouth. "Do you want her to see us?"
"I already found you guys...." I told them, crossing my arms. Slim and his two friends stood up and chuckled nervously.
"Let's go guys.." Slim muttered as he and his two friends start to walk away. I growled and shot plasma blast at the ground near their feet from my finger, and the three of them got startled and tumbled to the ground. They shot up and darted away as fast as they could. I don't understand why they still pick on me like that when they are afraid of me.
"Kara!" My mother yelled, and I turned my head toward her. "Just let it go. I know they aggravate you, but let it go. Just ignore them."
I sigh. "Ok... no promises.."
My dad glanced at Astrid. "Come on, Astrid. Those boys deserved that. They were picking on her."
"Kara shouldn't have shot fire at them though. She could accidentally hit them and they could have gotten seriously injured." My mom argued.
My dad sighed and walked to Toothless. "Maybe you do have a point." He declared while scratching under Toothless's jaw.
'That's right, Hiccup. Keep scratching.' Toothless said while purring.
              "Dragon hunters!!!!" A voice yelled.
             Dad got on Toothless quickly. "Stay here, Kara."
             "Haven't you forgotten??? I can shift into a Night Fury!" I told him, hoping he would change his mind.
             "You can still get hurt. I recommend you to stay here." He demanded and turned toward Astrid. "Let's go." My dad and mom flew away toward the big dragon hunter boat which is shooting cannon balls at our island and at the other dragons which are flying around it trying to shoot the ship down. Instead of that giant, alpha dragon attacking us, we have dragon hunters. They have been attacking Berk for our dragons for a couple of years.
           I disobeyed my dad's orders and shifted into a Night Fury. I shot up into the air and flew over to the ship.
"Fire!!!!" One of the dragon hunters yelled and shot a cannon ball at the island. Some of them were shooting nets at the other dragons that were hovering over the ship. I shot plasma blast at one of the hunters and that guy who I missed glanced up at me.
"You want a piece of me, Night Fury!!??" He didn't realize that he sees a Night Fury until he realized what he said and gasped. "It's a Night Fury!!! And it's all mine!!!" He quickly turned the cannon toward me. Hiccup and Astrid heard the hunter and turned their heads toward my direction.
"Kara!!!!" My dad yelled. "Astrid! Stay here while I go help Kara!" He flew toward me as the hunter yelled and shot the net at me. My dad pushed me out of the way, and the net wrapped around him and Toothless as they both fell onto the dragon hunter's boat.
I screeched worriedly and landed on the boat. Gnawing on the rope of the net to free my dad, he kept telling me to save myself. I wouldn't want to leave him.
"What do you think you're doing??" A teen asked, and I look up at him.
"Kara! Go!" Hiccup urged, but I didn't listen and stood my ground. I screeched at the teen to step away from us, but he wouldn't budge and took out his sword.
             "Kara!! Go!!" Hiccup urged on and pushed me away, trying to get me to leave. I glanced at the teen and growled at him. He rose his sword up and swung it at me. I kept dodging every swing he made until he finally hit me as hard as he could, and I tumbled down. As he raised his sword at me again, I shot plasma blast at the boat near his feet and made a hole in it. 
            The young dragon hunter gasped and warned, "Its gonna sink!!!" He ran to his fellow dragon hunters and paddled away, forgetting about me and my dad and Toothless. I used my claws to free him and Toothless, and we all flew back to Berk.
We landed, and I shifted into my human form. My dad slid off of Toothless and glanced at me. "You could've gotten hurt, Kara. You realize that?"
I nodded. "But I didn't. I sunk their boat." I told him, hoping that would change his mood, but it didn't.
Astrid and Storm Fly landed. "Are you guys ok??"
"I just don't want you to get hurt, but you did fine out there." He smiled slightly, but I can see the worried look he has in his eyes still.
    "I'm sorry, dad. I just wanted to help."
         Hiccup sighs and looks like he was about to say something, but Astrid starts saying something first. "She is as stubborn as you were when you were her age," Astrid said to Hiccup, smiling.
            Hiccup smiles back. I look back to where the dragon hunter ships were and saw how much further away they are now. No dragon shall be captured by these dragon hunters.
