TAYLOR'S PERSPECTIVE
*****

"Test grades are in class, I was overall disappointed by the failing grades. Although, one student did get an A+," Mr. Jameson says. I sit up a little bit straighter in my seat. "Taylor Sparks, that was you, congrats."

I stand up and collect my test. I was surprised myself, I hate Science.

"For the rest of you, I haven't put the grades in the computer yet. Corrections are due tomorrow." He finishes.

The bell rings, and grab my belongings.

"Congrats nerd." My best friend Tyler says.

"Haha. I'd rather be a nerd then a loser!" I retort back.

"See ya tomorrow." He replies with a grin.

"Bye Tyler!" I yell down the hall. I'm glad its the end of the day.

I walk to my locker and grab my coat, backpack with my math binder inside.

"Hey Taylor! Are you going to see the football game tonight?" I hear Lilly yell across the hallway.

"Sorry, Can't make it. I have volleyball scrimmage, and I have homework." I reply.

"Oh...sorry." She says as she walks away.

I start to walk down the hallway when Mr.Jameson pulls me aside.

"Hey, Taylor, I just wanted to let you know we are learning about diseases, and things that the CDC helps fight against. I know you like to know ahead of time." He says.

"Okay! Thank you!" I say as I walk away.

I turn the corner, and I see Tyler waiting by the girls locker room, trying to scare his next victim coming out of the room. I walk towards the locker room, and smile.

"Goodbye Tyler, you'll be late for the bus... again." I say holding the door.

"Fine... wait, do you think I can ask your coach to watch your scrimmage?" He questions.

"Yes!" I yell before the door closes.

I go to my locker, and open it to grab my uniform. I put on my black spandex and my neon pink jersey, with a black number 24 in the center. I see the rest of the team walk in.

"Alright girls! Get changed and head out on the court!" I say enthusiastic.

"Aye aye captain!" Kacie shouts.

"Well that was a literal comment." I laugh as I walk out to the court.

I look at the pulled out bleachers, and Tyler is sitting on the top with his friends.

Coach calls me over for the coin toss. I pick the tails side, and we get the serve. I walk over to the bleachers when my phone starts ringing. I ignore, and continue to start the girls on stretches. The team makes room for me in the circle, and Kacie starts with the legs.

"One." She says.

"Two." The team replies.

"Three."

"Four" We answer.

"Five."

"Six."

"Seven."

"Eight."

"Nine."

"And Ten." We finish.

We do the rest on our own, and I stretch my arms, legs, and my back. Coach blows the whistle, and we hustle to where she's at.
