Saving Mark: Part Two

Chapter Twenty-Four

   I enter the cold and quiet building. I hear creaking noises that scare me. I walk quietly as I make my way through the building. It had just started to rain outside. I look into the different rooms on my way up. I see furniture flipped and...blood. I look away and hope it isn't Mark's blood. I check each room until I hear a male scream. It sounds close by. Staying alert, I walk quietly and slowly. I see a room that's lit more than the others and peer in. I see Mark being attacked by someone in a black hoody. My anger soon escapes and I dash towards him and jump on his back. He backs into the walls, trying to get me off his back. I soon fall and look at him.
   "Oh my god...Jack?"
