Running Into A Familiar Face

Chapter Nine

I wake up to the sound of birds chirping. It's ten in the morning. My eyes are still adjusting to the light. Then, I realize that Mark and I fell asleep in my living room. Then, I notice that I'm lying on his chest. I start to blush as I get up. When I get up, I try to wake up Mark, but he's in a deep sleep. I decide to let him sleep and make breakfast for the both of us. I head to the kitchen and make bacon and eggs. When I'm done making breakfast, Mark wakes up.
"Smells good." He stands up and stretches. He walks over to the table.
"So....." I'm still blushing from before.
"Are you okay, your checks are red as a tomato." Mark laughs and I blush even more.
"Sh-shut up and eat your damn eggs." I couldn't help but giggle a little bit. We both finish breakfast and Mark goes to his apartment. And then, I'm left alone. I decide to get some groceries for my apartment. Since a supermarket is close by, I decide to walk there. I pick up everything I need and start to go home. Then, I see Blake across the street. I quickly walk by, hoping he wouldn't notice or remember me.
"(Y/N)? Is that you?" I start to run back to my apartment.
   Damn it, he's not stopping. Wait, I can't go to my apartment. He'll know where I live. Aha! I will cut through the park.
   I go to the park and run faster. But it's too late, he reaches to me in no time. He grabs my arm, so I won't leave.
"What the hell, (y/n)!" He looks mad and we both are panting from the run.
"You know I regret what I've done before. So, give me another chance, please?" He looks to me with sad eyes.
"No, you hurted me for the longest time and you expect me to forgive you! No, just leave before I call the cops."
"You know I don't take no for a answer." He starts to close the gap between me. I soon hit a restroom wall. There's no escape. I close my eyes, not knowing what will happen. Then, you here a familiar voice.
"GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE YOU STALKER!" I open my eyes and see Mark in front of me.
"I told you I would protect you." He says while turning around and giving me a smile. Blake looks like he remembers Mark and runs away. I smile and we both go home, together.
