Chapter 8: And When You Think..
I woke up to Lance
I thought I'd get tired of it
But it's been a month
I've seen my father every two days almost every day
Lance works still
I guess it's cool
Raze says nothing to me when he sees me
Halle fake smiles and says hi
And me and Zima don't talk
She's mad about me and Lance
But..
She'll
Get
Over
It
I haven't been this happy since my father was here
I ain't giving it up for petty female feelings
I mean, she liked Lance
And I understand her.
I felt bad at first
And I apologized
But she said "Eff you and your apology."
That's fighting words
But at the time,
I understood her feelings,
Gave her time,
And now she tells everybody on my old block ima thot..
So now,
I lost a friend
Forget your feelings
If we was that close it wouldn't have been that serious
When I see her I'm going to jail
I not only hate girls who run they mouth
But run they mouth with lies
I haven't fought in a long time
I've been too preoccupied with happiness
But I feel some drama
Coming soon..
"What you thinking bout?"
I looked at Lance and his eyes were still closed
"How you know I'm thinking?"
"Cuz I know my wife, Lani."
I laugh and smile
"Whatever sleepy. It's almost three, wake up."
"We stayed up till two watching movies. What you expect?"
"I'm bored though.."
I whined and made a face
He peeked at me and laughed
"You phony."
I had to laugh
It was phony
But I was still bored
"We got the house to ourselves on a Saturday."
Lance now sat up
"What we doing baby?"
I laugh
"Got your attention.."
"Nah dead serious. Moms left?"
